Hey everyone, I posted these on another TF forum, but wanted to do it here to incase some of you don't visit various forums. I wanted to share some storyboard scans of Transformers the Movie with the fandom. I'm slowly scanning boards that interest me of scenes that weren't animated or dialogue that was changed or cut. Did you guys catch the subtle transformers reference last night, when Peter said something like, "Hey, I know who to go see..." Then the screen shifted to an approaching Peter's head, then it flipped and Quagmire's head went away - all with the theme music from the G1 faction symbol flip (screen break) from the original show. Is Seth McFarlane a fan or something? I know he has had a couple of TF references in his show. I thought it was pretty funny... :thumb

By that, I mean G1, G2, AEC, Classics and the new movie. Now obviously G1, G2, and Classics are the same guy but what really seems to connect them to AEC and the new movie is that the Primes from those series look less like homages(such as CR Fire Convoy was) and more like G1 Prime given a new, updated design. Now, I'm not saying that they're all the same guy according to the fiction but they are pretty much the same guy if you go by design aesthetics. Maybe with AEC and the new movie, the Primes in those series aren't so much completely separate characters but the alternate reality incarnations of G1 Prime. Oh man I was doing the closing shaift at my local Wal-Mizzle and spotted all the new movie guys on a pallette. I rushed over, box cutter in hand, and started extracting all of them. There are a zillion new figures to collect as well as some other kid-stuff (voice changing helmets and transforming weapons) and it lead me to a few conclusions. ONE, there is a release date STAMPED on each box stating "do not sell untill may 31st!" Second, I will be going absolutely BROKE that day. In the past few years, everyone and their mother have already come up with a gazillion of "working concepts" for Hasbro to reissue G1 Megatron (paint the barrel orange, paint the entire toy orange, release him in robot mode and don't mention the gun mode) or Fortress/Brave Maximus (improve the materials, release him as a model kit) in the US.
