I didn't know that last nights episode was only shown on Cartoon Network. I missed the show b/c I was watching Mr and Mrs Smith, but I have seen that episode on CN and it was awesome. I made all kinda noise when OP came out and scared the crap out of my girlfriend (who appreciates that I like Transformers).

 

Anyway, awesome reference.

It was the Fox-banned only aired on Cartoon network When you Whish upon a Weinstein episode.

 

Jewish acquaintance takes them to Temple to releive Peter of some stereotypes. Peter is surprised at how many people he sees there and then hears a motor and yells 'Holy Crap! Optimus Prime?'

That new episode with the "face-flipping" scene, caught me by surprise.

yah, thats right, im gonna coin that term, the only way tho explain that for G1. A few weeks ago they made a GI JOE reference with that one with the beret, and then the kids said, "and knowing is half the battle"

Have you guys seen that T.Mobile commercial where the guys are stuck under the tractor-trailer as it goes down the highway? You only see the cab in the first few frames, but I SWEAR it looks just like Prime- Flat red cab with a silver stripe, and a grey trailer....it's kinda cool...

This makes me remember playing Ridge Racer 64 and on the dessert level when you go under this bridge. A tractor trailer goes by looking just like Optimus. You had to go under by a certain time.

yes I see Optimus around too. In the eyes of every child, in the laugh of every baby....

But then I remember he's dead.

In the most recent NEW episode they find a magical wishing skull that will grant them 9 wishes. Random characters from the show get their hands on it and make wishes and they always go bad. Pud'n gets it and wishes for a bunny that will love him. Being theat the wishes always goes wrong the bunny shows him some tough love. This eventually leads to the rabbit driving a suspicious-looking red semi (with white symbol on the side) to y'know, kill him in a psychotic fasion. The semi gets blown up with some explosive pastries (yeah I'm not sure either) and and Pud'n cries over the loss of his new pet. Until it emerges from the flames...

3 co-workers of mine called me when that happened. They make fun of me all the time cause of me being a t-fan. BUT was nice to know they cared to tell me...

In "Powr Puff GIrls", the girls are watching TV, and a 3d CGI show comes along, with an Ostrich and other robotc beasts. It's a spoof on "BEast Machines". The ostritch actually even transforms!

A lot of guys writing and drawing for cartoons these days are normally '80s kids so there's quite a lot of geek references in every 'toon that is meant to appeal to a broad audience.

 

Most Cartoon Network shows, mature 'toons like Simpsons and Family Guy, as well as certain Nickolodeon shows like Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob has a lot of geek fanboy references that will only be known by older audiences.

 

In Family Guy, if I'm not mistaken, the company Peter works with is a parody of Hasbro.

I remember watching Fairly OddParents that featured Adam West as Adam west playing the Crimson Chin. And Jay Leno as the actual Crimson Chin. XP

 

They fell into the set of Saturday Night Live. XD

 

And there was a Transforming streetcleaner. XD

I saw both verisons of transformers on family guy. The only reason why optimus prime is a jew is because of the person who played the voice is.
