Of coarse they have eyes, all the more better to SEE you with my dear. :tfevil

I'm with the whole optics in the windsheild concept. It just makes more sense. See, if we look through the windshield when we drive a car, then you could consider them the "eyes." The headlights wouldn't work cause prowl (it's him, right?) wouldn't feel very comfortable with flames coming out of his "alt eyes" and just having random hidden micro-cameras all over the interior of the car would realy limit the transformation sequence (I would assume that the cameras are fragile) due to non-foldable lenses and receptors. notice that the windshields never fold up complexly or retract or split at wierd angles. That's enough proof right there that something important is imbeded in the windshield. and the miriors could house mini-cameras as well! now the windshields could be made of some transparent, strong material so they could stand up to normal battle wear and tear without shatering(and rendering alt mode imposible) although Prime in G2(G1 as well, probaly) had shatered windows in several comics but I didn't say the windows were indestructible, just durable. and needless

to say that windows give most alt modes a (more-or-less) 360 vision or whatever a human would be able to see while driving normaly which I think is all that would be nessesary for a transformers vield of vision while driving or flying or whatever. I mean, you don't need to have a 3D map of your suroundings just to drive a car down the highway, just a view of the road in front of you and a couple views behind you and maybe a GPS for directions, not a system of cameras pointing in every possible angle and direction. It's simply not nessesary. Case closed.

(Wow. this has to be the most logical and well thought out thing I've said on this board or the entire INTERNET all together!)

And with the Shockwave stuff: It was probaly just a phase he was going through. No one ever said when TFs have mid-life-crisises. Maybe he came back from a date or something (can't say who'd date HIM though).(<-J/K) and did anyone ntice that in that sequence his alt mode gun barrel tip becomes a gun that looks exactly like his alt mode? Just plain wierd.

(who is thrilled to have contibuted to your being able to be on the internet and intelligent at the same time!!! And then wishes he could make the same claim)

seriously we are talking about a guy who lost his hand(he had it in MTMTE flashbacks) WHILE IN CONTROL OF THE PLANET!

Well, let's be fair. I don't think he left Shockwave behind because he was fantastically capable. . . he left him behind because he was the one guy who had absolutely NO ambition whatsoever. It's like his parents left for 4 million years and the thought of a party never crossed his mind. When Megatron got back in contact, it wasn't Planet Shockwave, he hadn't changed them to the Shockwavetrons, instead he was just waiting by the phone in case Megatron called.

And when Megatron did call, anyone else would probably start the conversation with "Hmm. . . oh yeah, we're doing great here on Cybertron, what with the FOUR MILLION YEAR ENERGY CRISIS! WHERE THE &*%$ HAVE YOU BEEN?" Not Shockwave. Why stop a perfect pattern of craven toadying even if you have a good reason?

If only he'd left Thunderslacker in charge. . .

TC:"...............Who are you again?? :tfhuh "

Itm Dosn't matter if it made scence, it's offical, hell it was even in Masterpiece Prime's booklet. Remember Mass changing?

Yes I know it's in the MP booklet...my point is I don't like it and if you look at MTMTE in the cartoon Prime is much bigger than 18ft....he has to be. But yes you are correct about it being in the MP Booklet, I just can't stand to see that in real life.

p[erhaps he was a bit bigger but not by much, the ppl only went up to his knee

edid: Imm gonna make a new thread for this.

Actually it's 20 ft (6m), which is based on the figure being estimated as 1/20th scale.

The booklet actually mentions that along with several other measurments, and I don't remeber when I last saw a translation of it so I'm not completely sure that 20 feet is such a set-in-stone official number.

MP Prime is probably much closer to 1/24th than something smaller, which would make him 24ft tall and in-line with Alts. His scale in the show and elswhere is roughly that, or perhaps 30 feet (humans are *not* 1/3rd of his size, they're 1/2 as tall as car Autobots, which are again 1/2 of Optimus Prime), so 1/20 isn't the worst of estimates, but it is a bit off.

But 6 meters is Officail,

How tall would you say Convoy is? The specs of giant robots and mechs appearing in Japanese robot anime are almost always established in detail, but in the case of TRANSFORMERS, nothing so strict was set up. In the character chart used when the first series was being produced, he was depicted as being about 6 m tall, which is about the height of a two-story residential home in Japan. In the TV cartoon, this was generally depicted as the norm, and from comparisons with Spike and others, it seems he was regarded as being about 6 m.

the other oficcial Mesuremant is 36 meters and that's ludacris.

It says right there that 'about 6m' is the estimate for his general depiction on the cartoon. There's no official number. It's not unreasonable at all to suggest he could be something like 8m in a more accurate depiction.
