To me the alt mode visual sensors are turned off and the robot mode optics take over. Too much sight in all directions when running and in combat can hinder them greatly.

Even an advanced mind can't cope with that much visual information and react to it, particularly in multiple combat situations. Certain mechanics go offline so they can function better.

6 meters don't make a bit of sense...I'm sorry if you extended a REAL Flat-Front Big Rig Truck like as much as Prime Extends out it would be much longer than 18ft.

That has never made sense and will never make sense.

Yes I know it's in the MP booklet...my point is I don't like it and if you look at MTMTE in the cartoon Prime is much bigger than 18ft....he has to be. But yes you are correct about it being in the MP Booklet, I just can't stand to see that in real life.

then there's tf's like Shockwave who's heads are just one big old optic sensor. how would his vision differ from that of tf's with more humanoid heads? my guess is that shockwave's field of vision is huge and his face probably has some sort of sonar like sensor that enhances his depth perception.

If Shocky's field of vision is so huge, why'd he always let people slip back and forth through the space bridge ALL THE TIME?? :) hehe that's one point i love to harp on :)
