(not to be confused with the old Marvel Comics Galvatron II) I've been working on this since taking some time off from Bruticus. Had a lot of shit go down (loss of a loved one) and I decided to crank something out that I've had on my mind for quite a while now. So this has become my grounding bash--something to keep me sane and keep me going with everything going on lately. I'll try to share more WIP shots soon, but I wanted to give you guys a few head shots. I took a Universe Springer figure and basically cut out all helicopter parts (cut the cockpit from his legs, removed the blades, and removed the winch). I shaved down some of the original Springer head and …

So after seeing THIS GUY's videos of his Custom Power Up Optimus, I decided to attempt my own. I love the design of Power Up Optimus, but as everyone knows, the toy version is no where close in resembling it. It took me 2 months to find Jetfire and now I must say goodbye... :ghey ... in attempt at making greatness. No sacrifice, no victory, right? I'm getting some help from him. I know not everything will be exact since he used 2 Jetifres and I'm only gonna be using one. THE FEET/LEGS Once I get everything painted, I'm sure it'll look better.

Over at anotehr site I frequent, i was introduuced to somethign by Alsa Corporation called "killer Chrome". Naturally, i was skeptical, so i watched the vids on it. Here is the site: http://www.alsacorp.com/products/killercans/kc/killerchrome.htm and here is the demo vid: http://www.alsacorp.com/live/view_killerchrome_demo.html Now, this system isn't cheap, but it does look promising. But unless you have a lot of chrome parts to do or the chrome is ABSOLUTELY VITAL to your project, it may not be what you want. Still, it looks interesting, and if I get the chance, I am seriously thinking of getting this.

So after building Power Up Optimus, I had a lil itch to do another custom, especially when I have a box full of spare parts staring at me everyday. Thats when I found a Scattershot that I bought from some guy on eBay for $15. He was one of those memorable TF toys I had when growing up. When I got it from the seller it was in pretty bad condition. The douche bag stated that it was mint and no sticker were applied. Complete BS, thats when I noticed he copy and pasted every detail for all his auctions (new and used). Anyways, with damages to the toy, I decided to just box him up. Now, after finding him, I can cure that lil itch I had. Like my past few customs, I've thr…

Is it possible to dye parts without boiling/heating up the RIT Dye/water/acetone mix? If so, does the mix need more, less, an equal amount of any of the 3 key ingredients (RIT Dye, water, acetone), or an extra ingredient? The reason I ask is because if I boil the mix, I fear that the plastic will warp and become ruined!

For a long time, I've wanted to do a custom Whirl. He was one of the few Transformers that survived the years since my childhood. A while back, I awoke from sleep thinking I had a great idea....convert Energon Quickstrike into Whirl, similar transformation, good size, etc. I found out some time after that this same idea was already done (by Wheeljack of sector70) yet - continued with the project, being a Whirl fan. Since I had the G1 Whirl from my younger years, I did what I do best. Hacked it up. I used some of the original g1 Whirl parts on this custom : head, claw, feet, coptor blades. for the canon arm, I used parts from a VERY expensive zoid saber model kit. I did so…
