This high detailed Slag was built using an original Generation 1 figure, but mixed in with a variety of parts, giving Slag nice articulation. He's now got articulation : At his shoulders (via ball joints), upper arms (swivel joints), elbows (hinge joints), hips (ball joints) knees (hinge joints) and head (ball joint) Slag was base coat painted with House of Kolors and detailed with Testors Model Masters (enamel) This version of the Dinobots, I went with a more metallic gold rather than the cartoonish yellow-gold used on the last set. I took an original Generation 1 figure, but mixed in with a variety of parts, giving him improved articulation.Grimlock's now got articulation at his shoulders (via ball joints), elbows (hinge joints), hands (hinge joint) hips (ball joints) and knees (hinge joints) I also made a 'slide' for Grimlock's head in robot mode. I've always felt it sat back too far on the top of the chest. This head also is on a peg joint. Lastly, I added some small details to his lower legs to better represent the cartoon images.Grimlock was base coat painted with House of Kolors and detailed with Testors Model Masters (enamel) This version of the Dinobots, I went with a more metallic gold rathe…

Snarl needed an overhaul. He was built off an original Generation 1 figure, but mixed in with a variety of parts, giving him improved articulation. He was super-tricky because his alt/dino mode is a little more complex than some other G1 figures.Snarl's articulation : At his shoulders (via ball joints), elbows (hinge joints), hips (ball joints) knees (hinge joints) and head (peg)Snarl was base coat painted with House of Kolors and detailed with Testors Model Masters (enamel) This version of the Dinobots, I went with a more metallic gold rather than the cartoonish yellow-gold used on the last set.Full gallery can be seen here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/accardi...762442…

Sludge normally loves to get dirty in mud and tar pits, but I was fortunate to catch him after a bath. Sludge was built using an original Generation 1 figure, but mixed in with a variety of parts, giving sexy and nice articulation. I also gave him some eyeballs.Sludge's articulation : At his shoulders (via ball joints), elbows (hinge joints), hands/wrists (hinge) hips (ball joints) knees (hinge joints) and head (peg)Sludge was base coat painted with House of Kolors and detailed with Testors Model Masters (enamel) This version of the Dinobots, I went with a more metallic gold rather than the cartoonish yellow-gold used on the last set.Load more pics of Sludge can be seen h…

Punch / Counterpunch is one of my top 5, never saw this before so thought it was funny. A quick kitbash I did for my son before I leave for Afghanistan.

These two hold a special place in my heart because they were the first transformers i ever owned waaay back in '84 All credit goes to Wheeljack for Ravage i followed his fine example & added articulation to his paws, front shoulders, jaw & the head is on a ball joint. For Rumble all i did was add some extendable pile drivers using a piece of Brass tube & scored some panel lines with a pipe cutter. Both were painted with Games workshop Acrylics View the Custom Gallery Here

  9. I recently picked up ROTF prime and although he is a great figure, I do not agree with some of the paint apps on him (red toes). Therefore, I'm thinking about painting/detailing some parts of prime to make him look better/movie accurate. This is going to be my first project and I'll probably start it after school lets out. For now I'd like some pro-tips on which paints to use, specifically which colors. I want whatever I'm going to paint to be as close to the colors he already has. I'm not looking to do a fancy frenzyrumble-like thing, just a bit of improvement. EDIT: Okay, so I'm working on a smaller project for now just to work out the tricks of the trade, and I've …

I think I've handled my love/hate affair with G1 Jetfire. He just needed a head! A commissioned custom, complete with interchagebale heads. 1 Evil G1 styled and his ol bucket mugg. The labels were produced by Reprolabels. Have a look at the Darkcave Customs You Tube Channel for more info on how to do your own G1 head mod. Enjoy! Note: armor is currently missing leg and gun clip. View the Custom Gallery Here
