  1. When I first saw this mold, it made me think of films like Mad Max & Deathrace. So, it seemed like the perfect way to go with a custom. The armor plating was added using styrene. Both his hand and hook were recast in harder plastic. However, in doing so, his hand is now fused to his arm, meaning his arm must be removed for transformation, but it's not that big of a deal since if tended to fall off during transformation anyway. I even took ROTF Blazemaster's head from my part's bin for a trophy for Lockdown's hook.View the Custom Gallery Here

  5. Started by Garage Mod,

He likes cereal, ice cream and soup. He enjoys cuddling with other bots and can stick to your nose if you breath on him. In a formal setting, he likes to sit to the right of knife, which is always to the right of plate. His only known weakness is a lame stage trick which causes him to bend with one's mind. This was my entry into the s70 gobot challenge. I honestly didn't realize that hasbro planned on repainting dirt boss until after I decided to use him as my donor figure and began looking up images of spoons for reference. This felt a little like cheating. So I picked up deadlift (dirt boss repaint), head swapped with real gear's long view and scratch built the chest. Pa…

  6. Started by TMM,

Hi guys, new here, just looking for a bit of advice before i shell out on a whole lot of stuff that isn't necassary! First of all, I will point out that i am from the uk, and therefore some of the shops/brands you will be referring to may not exsist for myself, also I have read several of the kitbashing guides on here, and elsewhere but still have a few queries. in terms of experience i used to construct a friends 40k models, and so am familar with constructing with plastic, modelling manually with resin etc, and sanding down appropriate areas for gluing, painting, and general touching up. Right, this would be my first ever kitbash/custom, the plan is to effec…

  7. Started by Mr. Chaos,

Ok, so I really hate having multiples of the same character on my shelf. The only one I can stand is Bumblebee. As a result, for some time now I have been trying to decide what to do with my TF1 Arcee figure, since I now have TF2 Arcee and Chromia. At one point I considered doing a repaint to make her Blackarachnia, but a few months back I went on an Animated kick and redid a second 08 Camaro bumblebee as Wasp and turned Decepticon Stockade into Bulkhead. Add in Movie Lockdown and my plan to turn that new motorcycle scout into Oil Slick, and I have a nice Animated Movie sub-group. Thus, as I was looking at designs on Deviant art, I saw one a person had done of Movieve…

  9. Started by Garage Mod,

This is a commissioned NON-TRANSFORMING custom Masterpiece Slag (Dinobot)There are 2 customs in this set, one in robot form, the other in Triceratops form. I used several MP Grimlocks as well a scustom cast parts and many other figures (zoids, power rangers, and others) to create a big burly representation for Slag's robot mode. The gun was built using several random parts and the sword comes from MP Grimlock. In robot mode, the button (shoulder) lights up his VISOR. The head was custom built using translucent red plastic (visor) RID Ultra Magnus (top/helmet) and Energon Megatron (lower face) In Triceratops mode, a button on his hind leg lights a red LED in his mouth, whe…
