Custom G1 Jetfire. This is a commission for a great guy. Wanted a more "G1 cartoon" appearance to him. I started with an original G1 Jetfire, added some articulated hands (thanks Zildjian) which retain retraction into the forearms, and swivel on wrists. Modified his hips and upper legs giving him more dynamic poseability. Built an alternate head using a C. Metroplex head, some epoxy, etc. Head (visor type) can easily be swapped in, has self-contained LED light, switch and power source (all jammed in) Jet thrusters also both contain bright blue LED lights toggled on and off via a small switch on each. I've gotten a few PMs, eBay messages and emails asking me about how I went about my parts-forming to give Warpath his chest cannon. Well, here it is. In the chest: Take a flat headed pin (I have a ton of them from old bashes from tires I've removed. You can also cut off a small finishing nail as well. ) and a soldering iron. Make a teeny-tiny hole (that's the technical term, folks) with the soldering iron. Place the pin in the hole with the flat had facing you. I made ABX here from assorted parts from many junk bins of mine. I made him for the Contest but due to money issues I have to sell him before the contest ends, I am ineligible to win regardless, but I always like seeing my stuff in the vote. maybe next time ;) Since this is Animated I like to think shortly after delivering Spike and Carly to the hospital in "Trash in Trash out" , Spike loses his wedding ring and has to go "dumpster diving" for it. He gets picked up by Wreck gar and dropped off at a junkyard. An Allspark fragment then fuses him with a bunch of random parts , leaving poor Spike in a predicament. Very similar to the TFCC Comic art as well as several other SG Galvy's that have went up this week, but a few differences as well. I managed to make the head a lil more Galvatron-like. I used Apoxie Sculpt to lengthen his front helmet antenna. I rounded of the rear antennae to be less prominent. The one thing that REALLY bothered me about the art work was that he didn't have a cannon. I mean, can you even BE Galvatron without over-compensating with a huge cannon?
