my first attempt at kitbashing I have always loved the head sculpt and cannon that came with dlx classics galvatron but the rest was garbage to me: bad alt mode, bad floppy transformation, and a robot mode with parts always falling off, so I had to do something! He has to look good next to cyclonus and scourge (can't wait!) So what would happen to Galvatron if he landed on Velocitron after the destruction of Unicron? could a moderator move this for me plz?

I refused to pay for $$300 buck for a real Shadow Scythe! So I did the next best thing and bought another $80 Protecter trailer and custom painted my own as close to pics as I could. It is NOT the greatest paint job I've done, but I am satisfied with it...flaws and all. Also I did not have the actual sword, had to subtitute something close. I already had the Shattered Glass Rodtimus figure. Wished I had scans of the comic book that came with the real Scythe, but I do not. Here the trailer before painting: ***Note the trailer battlestation mode pics look kind crude. I had to repaint over different sections several times due to major screwups…

Did these customs a while back, but forgot to post 'em here. :)Here's my take on everyone's favorite smack-talkin', cap-poppin', illiterate racist robots - Skids and Mudflap!Pretty much straight-up repaints for both of them. I tried to make them look clean in alt mode while dirty and weathered in bot mode. I used some subtle blending and highlighting techniques on some bot mode parts for this. I also added decals on Skids' license plate and autobot symbol hubcaps for both cars. There's still improvement to be made on my side for keeping the alt modes clean. I also need to get an airbrush so I can re-paint the car bodies and so my clearcoating will be smoother. Comments and…

Can anybody point me in the direction of some hints and tips for disassembling transformers? I've been looking around and haven't been able to find much. I'm kind of new to the whole modding thing, but I have a spare :animated Starscream which I want to repaint as :animated Ramjet, and I figure it would be easiest to take him apart as much as possible before doing so. edited to say thanks :)

...Sunday morning, woke up earlier than usual and decided to paint this guy up. GREAT figure, engineering and articulation is perfect. Made some minor improvements to Wreck-Gar. His front wheel can be removed off the shoulder and attaches to his forearm (shield) Also added lots of spikes, rust and damage. View the Custom Gallery Here

Bombshell is built using the oversized KO version of the g1 mold. The crotch, thighs and knees come from movie wreckage. The forearms belong to excellion. The hands, upper arm covers, shins and feet are gundam. The head is scratchbuilt over gundam eyes. The insect legs are lego atlantis crab legs over metal ball joints. the weapons on the forearms are modded from rotf breakaway. paints used were duplicolor, testors lacquers, modelmaster enamels and future clear coat. I designed the decals and had them printed by the always reliable Boggs. The base is a plaster casting of a model railroad scenic rock and I used various inks and paints to get the realistic rock look.…
