Upgrades

Okay, as some of you may remember, I did an Energon Megatron repaint. While well received, there were some valid criticisms, such as I had left too much blue on it. I also looked at it again, and decided that I needed to paint over the translucent parts...never much cared for that part. So........I did some more painting, and I also repainted the tank he comes with as an homage to G1 Megs.....plus I really love silver. That, and tonight starts up the voting for the next top custom of the month voting, so I wanted him front and center! (I ALMOST wanted to put my Energon Scorponok repaint up, but overall I like the sinister look of E-megs a bit more. Enjoy! Vo…

UPDATED: (see below) I like white transformers... not sure why. So that's why I kept most of him white, but layed on a few G1 colors... what'cha'll think?

If they reuse any molds in Energon, I wanna see this there. Otherwise, I want this as a Universe release!

This was actually DeadEnd of the Allspark's brainchild, but I thought it was too awesome to not share here. He did most of the work. Ravage X-9 touched it up a bit and made it pretty: I thought it was great, so I took it a step further and tried to make the brown richer to better resemble his show counterpart: Though it might be a bit oversaturated. Anyway, I thought they both did a kickass job. The original thread can be found here.

I had this guy posted in the regular art forum a while ago but I thought it was about time he appeared in the appropriate area... He's built from the Marvel Legends Colossus figure (making him 8" high - just about right for the other characters he appeared alongside in the comic). Most of the new detail is hand-crafted from Milliput (two-part epoxy putty) with the mace, shield and axe taken from MOTU figures, the missiles from G1 Optimus and Inferno, the horn tips and tusks from toy cows and the lower part of the jacket created from a thick rubber glove.
