Upgrades

Here's the issue that's been keeping me from say, paiting the back 1/2 of my Alt Wheeljack. Is anyone else worried about lowering the value of the Alts by tweeking them a bit here and there? I mean granted, its all good to make your own repaint or totally new design, but to say, swap heads, or put those repro stickers all over, that gonna kill the value later and are you worried about it? I have mixed feelings on the subject. And its probably why I have not acted and applied the Jazz stickers to Meister. And what did those of you who swapped the yellow tracks heads with Dead Ends...you keep those extra's safe or do something else with em? And now what that S…

My BT Tracks has a few minor scratches on the hood of the car, and it's driving me nuts. I'm curious if there's a good brand of metallic blue paint out there that matches the color pretty closely (and has that metallic sparkly look to it) and where I can buy it. Any help is appreciated...

I just painted the hood and roof in a gloss black using Testors gloss black making him look more Bluestreak...not to mention, some cars just need a little variation in paint, and having two silver colored Alts (Silverstreak and Grimlock), and I no longer necessarily get them mixed up like I do sometimes. It just makes me happy too. That's why when I get Alt. Meister in the bubble packaging, I'm going to order those custom reprolabels and turn him into Jazz :thumb Sorry no pics. My camera's broke, but I'm sure some people have done something like this. And keeping in mind this is my first official paintbash and not just adding some missing color that Hasbro …

i spent a long time on this one, and i think it turned out pretty well (for turning such a dark color into such a light color) Cybertron Autobot Jazz:

So I took a Sideswipe and shaved down the fore arms and did the chest flip deal for a more femmine look. The head was simple, using a Beast Machines BlackArac face and fore head I removed the Vail (or what ever it is) and shaved the top to fit onto Sideswipe's rear half helmet. Next I clipped the ears and rounded off the sides to give a more Arcee helmet look. Also the doors were moded to flip back and I removed the hood's pin and cut off 10% of it to allow the hood to snap on and off. The small whole in the forearm matches up with the tab that allows the hood to pivot. Last I made the feet smaller by shaving the inner sides. I feel stupid asking this, but where to find this? I looked at my local model shop, they didn't have it... So, I thought I would ask.

Is there a particular kind of gloss or application that can be used to prevent TFs from chipping? Especially if you've added your own paint job with paint markers or to safeguard BTs againt chipping.
