Upgrades

Last year some time I had the idea that I was going to turn Cybertron Hot Shot into Hot Rod. I started a WIP thread, but as I got into the disassembly I realized that what I thought would be a simple little repaint was turning into a bigger project. I was also getting pretty frustrated with how my red paint was turning out over the blue plastic. I eventually shelved the project until I saw Cybertron Excellion and some of the other repainted versions of him on various kitbashing forums. When I discovered my Movie 1 bike Arcee had breasts but were hidden under pipes and chest plating I raged. Then the TF Prime gives us an Arcee without lips or a chest. ARRRGH. So here's an Arcee that's not afraid to show off her ladylike features! She was created from the DotM Sideswipe figure with the arm swords removed and attached to the door panels. I used the original movie Arcee head with a slightly modded mouth and took the black corset design from it as well. Some fodder parts and styrene created her now quite apparent chest features. Hi This is one of my prototype swords for leader prime. As the image says, this is not the final product just a test piece.(I coloured the blade with a marker for contrast) It is made from laser cut Aluminium. The blade in the picture is going to be used on a spring loaded version that will fit on to the side of the robot's arm. I will also be making a "static" version which hopefully will just fit over or bolt to his hand. I will have quite a few of these when done If anyone is interested.

Hey guys, I recently added a tutorial on "dry brushing with enamels" on my website. (frenzyrumble.com) (no dreadlocks allowed please) Most modelers have a serious desire to be able to paint tiny tiny detail with the skill of a master. Little did we know the master was using a simple technique called dry brushing. The name tells it all.....you are painting with a brush that is almost 100% dry. One of the biggest misconceptions about enamel paint, is that it's difficult (some say impossible) to dry brush with. However, this is far from the truth. Ok....I'm far from done, but what I saw as necessary: -Paint the visor blue...it is WAY too dark. -Paint the shoulders black. -Paint the feet silver. What to do with the doors? Stick them in his backpack of course: More to come when I get the motivation.

I always thought this would be a good mold for the seekers after I saw Viagra Prime's Starscream. I liked VP's seeker so much I decided to do one of my own and looking at Ravage, I thought it would be perfect as Skywarp. As a bonus, it help eliminate 2 shelf warmers in my area. :thumb (Now if they'll just restock?) Alt Ravage repainted into Skywarp. I used Silverstreak's head and cut off the horns. Painted all the red parts purple and added stripes. Finished it all off with a semi-gloss clear coat. Hope you enjoy!
