Seriously man, that is incredible work. The attention to detail is definitely what's impressing me the most. :eek

 

Also love the look of the modded gun. How'd you do any of that anyway?

Actually, the gun was pretty simple. I dabbed some heavy duty glue in the rocket hole and then inserted the rocket in place so that it was all one piece. Once everything dried, I drilled a barrel hole in the front of the rocket, and then spreay painted the whole gun using a Krylon Fusion Grey. I was originally going to just leave it like that, but when I was looking at the old G1 Hot Rod's gun, I really liked the wings on the side, and I wanted it to try to incorporate that.

 

I saw the back wings that were left over from my Cyberton Hot Shot, I cut them in half, spray painted them, and then glued them in place. After that, it was just a matter of printing out two grey stickers for the wings and painting the small details on the gun using Testors Enamel.

 

All in all the gun only took about a one day of work.

I was going to be perfectly happy with the blatant G1 hommage that is Excillion, but this looks soooooooo much better.

 

 

Really love everything about this one. I'm a huge sucker for details and your repaint is choc ful of those, and none of them are the "in your face" type.
