I didn't like Leader OP's oversized forearms, so I trimmed them down a bit: I simply removed the lower half of the forearm and capped it off w/ plastic, then painted it red. You'll need to trim down the screw bosses for an even surface. IMHO it's closer to the movie arms, which appear to have a flat red part on the underside. This mod does do away w/ the slide-out cannon and the flip-out blaster, neither of which was movie-accurate to begin with. The cannon still needs the mount to hold it in place, but that swings out of the way when not needed. EDIT- forgot to add, I also had to glue a spacer block inside each rear fender to take up the space that…

I'm about to start a new project and I realized the last time I painted some of that soft "nosecose" plastic/rubber I ended up tossing it because the paint never dried. I believe I used testors' acryl model masters paint, or krylon fusion. Anyway, any tips before i ruin another one? Thanks.

I've been wanting to do a non-bike Arcee for a while now but haven't found a feminine enough mold for it to work. But looking at movie 08 Camaro Bumblebee I saw alot of feminine features. Still it wasn't feminine enough so I had to make some modifications to make the mold more feminine looking. Modifications I made: 1. cut off tab on the side front fenders to allow it to rotate all the way up in bot mode. This made the chest more narrow (therefore more feminine I think). 2. Narrowed the hip joints 3. Cut a tab in the side back fenders to allow it to rotate more and this allowed the leg to be straightened out more making the leg longer and more slim looking. 4. Rem…

Hey, this is Blaster blastin' atcha! Or my idea of a Movie Blaster anyway. I'm still working out what sort of decos he'll have on his hull, if any. He's going to get yellow on his chest where the blue is. The black on his chest might stay. He started out as Evac, and I hadn't noticed until I saw him at the store , but his head already looks a bit like Blaster. I helped it along a bit. Light pipe still works! He's not done yet, so suggestions are welcome. Thanks for looking!

Here it is, the Transformers Combaticon Commander Onslaught custom by grapes4mapes. Built from a custom painted the movie voyager size version of Prime but modded his original head by cutting away and trimming parts not needed, and then fabricated new parts with Milliput (modelers putty) and styrene. Then I custom detailed it to resemble his G1 toon Likeness. Read More Read the Full News Story Here

I got bored. Had an idea and 1/2 ran with it. I say 1/2 because to be honest...it doesn't WORK...not yet. Problem is the speakers are not powerful enough as is, and I have to tinker around to find some that are. But the almost functional mock up will work. I'm rather surprised this has not been thought up sooner. At any rate, question...how can a CD rack help with an MP3? Simple, chop the spindle up! I took your standard cheapie ear plug speaker set and the cylinder of a CD spindle to make a (almost) working "Wave Launcher" for MP3 Soundwave. Rather simple, cut to length, sand off and level out the ends. Drill a hole dead center, and widen it usi…

I've redone Starscream, this time with a little tad of blue in my metallic silver paint. He's 100% enamels, and very durable. His hands are the same as my last SS, which come from a $9 Neo-Shifter's kit. Decepticon symbols came from Reprolabels.

Remember when Megatron was a tank? A green and purple tank? I do! He was a cool toy way back when but many TF fans hated the fact they got rid of his gun mode. But hey, he's a freaking tank! Megs here was made from a deluxe movie brawl, head from a Ultimate Battle Megatron, and arms/feet from some MARS figures. I even detailed the 'Eat this Autobots!' and 'Big Stick' lettering on his cannon. Basic green basecoat with lighter green highlights, purple camo paint, and gunmetal washed sections. Look close and he has the 'M' on his waist too! Click below the pic to see his main page where the other pics are. More pics!---------> G2 Megatron
