Come and get 'em, I got yer Allspark Power Stockade mods right here, fresh outta my brain! EDIT, see further down the thread for before and after shots. I love Stockade, but as my TF sickness mandates, I had to mod him. Had to. I was getting DTs looking at him factory-original. So I came up with two quick easy mods for the big lug to improve his articulation and poseability. First, his knees. Trim away some of the molded detail on the back of his knee, immediately above the cylindrical joint: You can go further than I went and get more knee flex, but you might start to lose strength in the part. As shown, this mod lets him get into deeper crouching pos…

I have always wanted a Metrotitan Decepticon figure to go up against Metroplex. I have been unsuccessful in finding one, so I bought another Metroplex and tried my hand at repainting him into my own Metrotitan. I am not a good painter, but over all I think it turned out pretty good. Here's the before: Here's the after: What's the verdict? SCROLL DOWN FOR THE LASTEST UPDATE PICS OF MY FINISHED PROJECT WITH STICKERS! **Note: I am waiting for the Metrotitan stickers from Reprolabels I ordered, then I'll post pics of the real Metrotitan vs. my repaint.

Here are some better pics: They are, in fact, Protoform Optimus Prime's feet, w/ the rear toes removed; might glue them back on as thumbs, but I like the alien look of them as they are. They attach quite easily via a press-fit onto the blue prop stud into a groove cut into the foot-hands. I had the props mounted onto the forearms by trimming an existing bit of molded detail to fit the hole in the props; still working on that, they're really loose, so they're missing right now, I might just leave them off since I'm parts-forming a bit anyway. I also moved his tailfin kibble. It unscrews easily, I thought it would be glued. It fits nicely up where it i…

This is my first Transformers kitbash/custom that I've attempted (I'm now working on a few others). I picked this up from a fellow board member here recently. I've been working on this for about a month and a half (on and off) and I've finally finished it. Originally, I had considered just repainting the bland Classics Ultra Magnus, but everyone's been doing that since it was released (no knock to them, I love 'em all--I just wanted to do something different). I decided to take the "G1 approach" and do this as close to his orignal G1 (in robot mode at least) as I possibly could. Be warned, this can be considered a PARTS-FORMER (oh no!) simply because I am sticking to…

ok guys here I go!!!! some of you did not like my original Ironhide & Ratchet custom heads for many reasons, and I have to admit, most emphasized one was the out of proportion too low arms with those clips. even though I think(as many of you who have already bought my clips in ebay) that tey are very good and FAR better that those ridiculous cardboard heads from TAKARA. well, the fact for this post is that I also was concerned with the out of proportion issue and even tried to modify a piece in a junk ironhide to make the arms swivel so they could be in a higher position, but is too impractical. so, given this problem i thought that a WWI style versio…

A friend of mine actually gave me an armless Megatron, and asked me if I could find some arms for him. He suggested that I use the arms off of a junker Soundwave that he had given me even longer ago. My first thought was "Nah, that won't work!" Then I did it.

This is a bash dedicated to Vector Prime over at TFW2005. I just wanted to show it off over here as well. I started with Rescue Ratchet and gave it a base Hunter Green and Nickel Shimmer Krylon Fusion. i drybrushed the green with an acrylic hunter green witha little white and masked off the yellow areas with Sunbeam Yellow. The silver, bronze and Yellow detail areas were painted with Testor's Model Master's Chrome, Flat yellow and Kylon Copper Leaf marker. The gun/antenna came from a Big Lots police action figure set. Enjoy! http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w231/au...d/HoundRob1.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w231/au...d/HoundRob2.jpg http://…

This post is meant to inform you, not scare you, as to the issue of Super Glue Sensitivity. As you know I try not to blow things out of proportion and I don't misguide people with my information. I take the hobby of customization very seriously and look to help everyone I can no matter their level of involvement in the craft. I'm sure you all know what Super Glue is. It's more scientifically known as Cyanoacrylate Glue and almost every customizer uses it to adhere plastic parts together and what not. We use a lot of it, more so than regular folks who just need to repair a mug or a fingernail once a month. We use this stuff every day sometimes. And there lies a danger…
