  1. Thanks to diecast of Radio Free Cybertron, we know that discount retailer Ollie's will be a major source of ToysRUs's leftover stock for this holiday season. Now through December 25th, Ollie's will be supplying their stores with stock originally intended for ToysRUs, acquired from major suppliers at a discount, to be sold for up to 75% off of the SRP. Keep reading for the ad in question!
  2. Planet X has just posted to their Facebook group showing off renders of PX-C02 Kadmos, their take on Star Saber! The images also show off a Saber figure in the set: Star Saber's G1 base form, though it's unknown as of this writing whether there's also a Brain of Courage. Star Saber is the second figure in this series after PX-C01 Ismenios, their take on Dezarus. Keep reading to see the images!
  3. We'll soon be able to see Transformers: Cyberverse and judge for ourselves. Entertainment Weekly has posted a release date of September 1st for the series premiere, along with a new trailer and a fascinatingly fresh voice cast list. Episodes will be added to the Cartoon Network app starting this Monday, with new episodes promised for Fridays after that. Keep reading for the trailer and a link to the full article!
  4. Click here for links, and good luck!
  5. So one of the questions most frequently asked about the Target-exclusive Studio Series Bumblebee: The Movie Bumblebee & Charlie set was: "Do you mean I have to buy just another copy of Studio Series Camaro Bumblebee if I want the Hailee Steinfeld character? Ugh." But, thanks to TFW2005 user megatronix1002 we now know that it's not just another copy of SS-01: it's more! It comes with a variety of parts and stickers to customize Bumblebee's vehicle mode, including new hood attachments, a spoiler, and more. Keep reading for an excerpt and selected photos from megatronix1002's review and a link to the full article!
  6. The doors have barely closed on TFNation 2018 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, but the official TFNation Facebook page has already announced the dates for 2019's con! Running August 16th-18th and returning to the Hilton, the specifics will of course come later - but going by the last few years of TFNation announcements, we expect them to be great. Keep reading for the announcement!
  7. Imaginarium Art has posted an image set to their Facebook page in order to show off their industrial-grade 3D printer! They've done this by using it for one of the most common purposes for such a printer: rapid prototyping. In this case, of their upcoming G1 Megatron statue! If you're a fan of their robot-corpses-on-bases aesthetic, you'll possibly be pleased to note their design for Ironhide embedded into the statue's base. Keep reading to see!
  8. The official Cartoon Network YouTube has posted a second clip from Transformers: Cyberverse! Titled "The Scout Ship," this clip runs about 2 minutes, and shows Bumblebee & Windblade's continuing quest to access Bee's memories- along with Windblade's new power to launch her wing rotors. Also a brief cameo by Slipstream! Keep reading to see.
  9. Autobase Aichi has posted new images of upcoming Studio Series figures! #18, VW Bug Bumblebee, sports a package shot and robot and vehicle mode images. #22 and #23, Dropkick & KSI Sentry, are shown in both modes and have images of their unique backdrops. Keep reading to see the figures!
  10. At last! RAC combines the Predacons and looks at the strengths and weaknesses of Predaking. One is engineering, the other is aesthetics. Bet you can't guess which is which! And what caused these decisions, exactly? Well, he has a guess. Click here to watch the review!
  11. You're not going to believe this, but... there's going to be a Transformers Cyberverse Warrior class Thundercracker figure! And here's the biggest shock of all: it's a recolor of Transformers Cyberverse Warrior class Starscream! ...Alright, so we're obviously joking. Possibly the biggest surprise of this story for a lot of us is that ToysRUs Hong Kong is still in operation and that's where the figure was discovered, priced at $170 HKD (about $21 by current exchange rates). Keep reading for the image!
  12. The official Transformers Instagram account has posted a video with John Warden giving a behind the scenes look at the creation of Power of the Primes Leader-class Rodimus Prime! The video gives a brief look at some other possibilities that were considered for the figure, such as power-up armor and the ability to combine with other PotP figures in Vehicle Mode. (Also a brief look at an unproduced Voyager figure that looks like it could possibly have been the Prime Prima.) Keep reading to see the video!
  13. The other half of the Big Dengeki Hobby Photo Dump for today is of TF Encore Big Convoy, sporting his new more vivid and Beast Wars Neo-accurate colors, as well as a remind of what the Unite Warriors versions of Superion & Devastator look like in case you're interested in those reissues coming out early next year. Click through for more!
  14. Dengeki Hobby has posted a lot of Transformers-related images this morning! In their first post, they've got Power of the Primes PP-43 Throne of the Primes, LG-EX Grotusque and Repugnus, and MP-20+ Wheeljack Animation Colors. The two Monsterbots do not come with the bonus Masters from their individual US releases, incidentally, so if you want Scorponok and Solus Prime, you'll have to track those down. Keep reading to see the images!
  15. ICv2 has interviewed IDW's Publisher and President, Greg Goldstein, who has confirmed that the IDW Transformers comics will be rebooted in 2019. Goldstein also addressed speculation that the timing of Unicron was in relation to the renewal of their licensing agreement with Hasbro, reaffirming the strength of the relationship between the two companies. Keep reading for more details!
  16. Walgreens has posted a listing for the long-awaited Power of the Primes Deluxe Wreck-Gar! The Junkion Leader was leaked to Rob Springer of RFC roughly a year ago, and over that time we've watched as developments both confirmed the figure and made it clearer what shape it would take: a remold of Combiner Wars Groove using the previous Generations Wreck-Gar's axe. And now it's in their systems, which suggests that it'll arrive in the coming weeks. Keep reading to see!
  17. Promotional efforts have begun in earnest for the Japanese release of Bumblebee: The Movie! Sporting a tagline that mechanical translation renders as "My First Buddy Was A Girl," the Japanese trailer for the film has also been released along with a series of icons that Japanese phone users can send each other through the "iMassage" platform. Keep reading to see it all!
  18. Autobase Aichi reports that Unite Warriors Devastator and Superion will be reissued in early 2019! Superion, due in January, is priced at 15,000 Yen (about $133 USD as of this writing,) with Devastator coming in February for 25,000 Yen ($223). This is a good opportunity in particular for those who want Devastator, whose aftermarket price has been climbing northward of $400 lately - even with shipping on a box that big, that'll likely be a savings. Keep reading for a link to the original story!
  19. Dengeki Hobby Web has posted official photography for a bunch of movie-related figures! Included in the batch are MPM-6 Ironhide, Power Charge Bumblebee, and Legendary Optimus Prime as well as Studio Series SS-16 Bumblebee, SS-17 KSI Warrior, and SS-18 Revenge of the Fallen Starscream! Keep reading to see the lot.
  20. Huh, the black lion forms the head. We've seen that before, I think... RAC continues his look at the Predacons with Razorclaw! The best figure of the set taken on his own, Razorclaw is refreshingly kibble-free, relatively speaking, in both modes. If he was your favorite, you're in luck!
  21. This year is the 150th anniversary of the Meiji Restoration - the transfer of power from the shogunate to the Emperor of Japan - and TakaraTomy is collaborating with the celebration! First there are a pair of illustrations, including one of Optimus Prime as a key figure in the Bakumatsu, the period of civil war that led to the estabilishment of the Meiji government. Secondly, they've commissioned an actual, traditionally-made katana! Keep reading for images and a short history lesson.
  22. Thanks to Rob Springer of RFC and Zone Base for finding the first Transformers: Cyberverse commercial on Hasbro's YouTube and sending it along to us! Using the tagline "Get more Whoa," the 15-second ad focuses on the Action Attackers line and their pop-up action features. Keep reading to see!
  23. Facebook group TFND has posted images from the Animation Comics Games show in Hong Kong! Most notable is a previously unknown TakaraTomy product for Bumblebee: The Movie, a reuse of the Age of Extinction Evasion Mode Optimus Prime mold called Legendary Optimus Prime. Also on display are the Golden Lagoon figures and some upcoming Masterpieces, including Shadow Panther! Keep reading to see it all!
  24. As RAC continues rampaging through the Predacons set, he gets to a figure who has possibly the fewest kibble impediments so far! Though, to be fair, we've got one more Predacon left to review after this... Click here to go to the review!
  25. TakaraTomy has posted images of their booth for the upcoming summer WonderFestival 2018! Highlights include previews of the Bumblebee Movie toyline - which we expect will largely be what was just shown at SDCC - as well as the first opportunity to pre-purchase Golden Lagoon Convoy. Also of note is an image of a mystery Transformer, as isolated by Autobase Aichi - it's speculated this is connected to an event celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Meiji Restoration, which resulted in the emperor of Japan reclaiming political power from the shogunate. Keep reading for more details! ...on the Transformers news, we mean.
