A few days ago, we posted a story about a suspicious bit of language added to HasbroToyShop's FAQ. It hinted around that you miiiiight want to spend your HTS giftcards now, as unspecified "changes" were coming to the store in 2019. And by the way, here's this oddly-worded language about Hasbro no longer offering shopping options on sites related to their brands. All together, it made for a very vague but not terribly reassuring picture for the future of the site. Well... Continue Reading

Thanks once again to our sponsors at Megalopolis Toys! RAC really likes Siege Megatron. He's a great-looking figure who transforms into a well-made if not particularly inspiring H-tank. The battle damage deco also works better here than he expected - but the real draw here is an extremely on-model Megatron. Continue Reading

So, this is a little confusing: HasbroToyShop has amended their FAQ with a notice that Hasbro's "brand websites have changed and will no longer sell products directly." That's kind of legalese gibberish, which taken on its own would lead us to think that Hasbro was simply no longer providing HTS links from their official brand portals for things like My Little Pony, NERF, and that thing with the robots that change into stuff. But. Continue Reading

Hasbro has posted to Twitter a new holiday coupon code for HasbroToyShop! Good until December 31st 2018, HASFAM18 will get you 20% off all regularly-priced items on the website. Good luck, holiday shoppers and collectors alike!

Twitter user @_wilsonjim_ noticed something interesting in a recent volume of Hatchette Books' Transformers: The Definitive G1 Collection reprint series - namely, that it does not contain Richard Branson. That's actually not unusual for most comics, so first let's back up and explain a bit. Continue Reading

We haven't talked about IDW's Unicron series very much here on TFormers, but RAC has read the entire thing, and enjoyed it a lot! And as always, we particularly enjoyed the artwork of Alex Milne, longtime IDW artist (More Than Meets The Eye, Rom vs. Transformers: Shining Armor) who drew the majority of the series. Recently Alex shared some of his favorite pages to work on from the series, and the intricacy of these cast-of-thousands pages is something to behold. We know from reading his Twitter that Alex put a lot of hours and painstaking effort into his last Transformers work, and we've embedded his tweets below so you can check them out for yourself! In the best promotion for the upcoming Bumblebee movie yet, Hasbro's The Play-Doh Show has posted a stop-motion animated Play-Doh version of the film's trailer! As fans of stop-motion animation - a world Bee movie director Travis Knight hails from - we love this. Continue Reading

Wreckers Trilogy writer/artist Nick Roche has confirmed to Twitter that whatever form the new IDW Transformers Universe takes next year, it will feature all-new creative teams. This was something that had been hinted at on multiple occasions as various IDW writers and artists made reference to their final work on Transformers - but this is the first overt confirmation that nobody will be returning for whatever new form the IDW comics take. Continue Reading

Thanks once again to Hasbro for providing us with a sample of the about-to-hit-stores Metroplex theme deck! Metroplex has more than a couple neat tricks up his sleeve, smuggling three friends into battle to help him draw extra battle cards in order to trigger his special robot mode ability. Continue Reading

A YouTuber by the name of Cybertron21 has shared a short video of Bumblebee's VW Bug transformation animation from the upcoming Bumblebee movie! In terms of the style, it's not all that different from the typical movie robot transformation, but watching the Volkswagen Beetle parts form what looks kind of like a life vest for Bumblebee is fun. Continue Reading

It's almost that time! And thus, we have a new Bumblebee trailer today, released to YouTube by UIP Singapore. It features a bit of additional footage that seems to be from scenes we've previously seen in trailers, including new shots of Optimus Prime fighting Soundwave and his friends and Bumblebee not coping with the fragility of Charlie's home too well. Continue Reading

Autobase Aichi reports that the Chinese branch of Hasbro is advertising Power of the Primes Titan Class Predaking at the official Hasbro flagship store in that country. ...and he's got the sword that is very conspicuously missing from the standard retail release. At present, no other avenues of purchase have been made available, and it is included with purchases of Predaking for a reasonable 829 Yuan (roughly $120 USD). Continue Reading

If you never picked up Age of Extinction Galvatron, he's actually pretty neat! His entire cab folds up into a backpack; he's one of the most interesting shellformers in a long time. If movie stuff doesn't do it for you but oddball exclusives do, good news! A Weibo user has posted in-hand images of JD Red Knight, a remold of Galvatron made to promote Chinese online retailer JD.

The Hasbro presentation at the Italian Lucca Comics & Games Festival 2018 has just concluded, and thanks to a live Facebook stream from Guerrestellari.net we've got the first images of Generations Siege Deluxe Prowl and Sixgun, as well as Battlemaster Pteraxodon! Hopefully official slides and/or photos from the floor are on the way, but for now enjoy your first look at these newly revealed figures!

In a now-removed product listing, ToysRUs Singapore has posted a new Cyberverse Optimus Prime toy: Optimus Prime with Battle Base Trailer! In a design familar to generations of fans - especially the first one - Optimus' trailer folds out into a base of operations for the Cyberverse Autobots. Priced at 79.00 SGD (Roughly $57 USD), we wouldn't be surprised to see this before the holiday season.

Pictures bearing the watermark of the usual Weibo leaker have begun circulating showing off the fifth wave of Transformers Studio Series Deluxes: Sideswipe, Barricade, and WWII Bumblebee! While all three look good we're perhaps understandably most excited by Bumblebee (of all things), seeing as he is atypical for both movie Bumblebees and Transformers toy alt-modes. Even though RAC is personally about done with movie toys, he's probably going to see his way to getting this one.

Via the Official Hasbro Twitter, we've got the official images for the just announced Studio Series figures: Shatter and what appears to be a reissue of Cogman, plus Constructicons Scrapmetal, Rampage, & Longhaul! No official image for the complete Studio Series Devastator yet, but we're keeping an eye out. Keep reading to see the images!
