Yay! Updates!! :yay

Ok, so I've been working on the nose, and I think it's coming along very well. I sprayed it with some primer, so I can better see where I still need to sand, and thought you'd like to see it!

To Frogman - I've already paid, so now it only costs me my patience....

Wow man, that's looking great! Don't give up!

What did you use to get such nice clean straight lines with the molding material? Are you using clay modeling / Sculpting tools to get that results? It looks good so far. I can't wait for more updates and photos. Thanks.

The new nose was built on Lockdown's existing nose, using pieces of the drive-bay covers from an old PC face:

I used epoxy putty to fill in behind and around the headlights (which are Lockdown's originals, moved forward into the new light-wells) and along the inside seams to strengthen them and provide better bulk and support for the whole thing.

I filled in the hole where Lockdown's engine used to go with another piece of bay cover, then covered that with more putty to fill it out and mold the new curvy contour of hood.

Some more putty went on top of the nose, to even it out and mold some curvature there.

It's grey because I sprayed it with primer, to be able to see where I still need to sand it and smooth it out, which you can see in the pics.

3 months and zero progress... I think if this reaches October I'm just going to ask the mods to lock this thread and give up.

Even in PM and email I am beginning to feel guilty for asking for any kind up updates and I'm absolutely not the one who should be apologizing at all.

I appreciate DLP's effort but that's all this is, an attempt. With zero results.
