See, I don't get you collector people who need to buy all of them. Why bother?

Me neither, I can't see the point of every repaint, and I usualy skip on convention exclusives unless they're real nice and at a fair price(SDCC)

What I don't understand though are you people on toy forums wondering why collectors collect stuff. To bother is the point. Weither you bother with 5 figures or five thousand, it's about getting what you like, and the pride you take in what you have as you enjoy and preserve it.

...I just waited as I'm doing for MP Megs.

I hope your gonna be in it for the long haul. Hasbro had reservations about Classics Megs. Never released G1 Megs in the commemorative line. They're more than likely NOT going to release MP Megs. If you can, snag the Takara while you can bro.

Well I guess I might have to give up hope on that one. What'll really tick me off is if I get him and a year from now Hasbro does bring him over. So I guess I'll have to save up for the next 5 weeks to get him due to bills, and lack of income from my wife to help pay the bills.

Yeah but figure it this way. If it was retail released, it'd be about $75, thats the clearance price right now at BBTS. Convince yourself on the shipping and carefuly enjoy(not a solid as Prime)

sometimes i just wait. They're rereleaseing MP ultra magnus. that's $150 saved.

like leader animated megatron, picked it up on clearance at walmart for $25 yeasterday!

THANK YOU, I thought I was the only guy who saw that!

It's amazing what kind of deals you can find these days! If something is too expensive, then I'll try again later.

I've convinced my wife they are a savings account. The good news, as long as she doesn't raelize how much i've spent - she pretty much leaves me alone and is glad I'm not out spending more money on more frivilace things that have no return whatsoever. However, if I should pass on abruptly - someone please check for foul play - as wife plans on selling them all once I pass for her retirement vacation. LOL (whispers: Little does she know i'll Will them to my son - muwahaha) :D

Ahh.. you buy what you can, when you can. Dont get lured by every little trinket. Sometimes all those small $5-15 dollar TFers add up quick and you realize you could have had one that cost nearly $100. I don't believe QUANTITY is best, I prefer picking a line and enjoying the ones in them. I have the BT and MP line that I am a completist on - and then the Movie line, which I refuse to get anythings except the ones "IN" the movie. There have been a few that I had to swallow hard on (Ultra Mag... BT Nemesis..) but in the end, i'm glad I have them. Sometimes it's a matter of timing - it's better to spend a tad more when you have it, than try to save $20 on a toy when you really shouldn't. If your stretched that thin, it's probably not a good idea to get it anyways. Save and wait. And like someone else said - work more - there are always side jobs to be had. And one lesson i've learned - preorder!! They only go "UP" later on, and if you decide it's an item you didn't want - chances are pretty safe you can get rid of it and sell it and simply get your money back. I could have saved a ton of money preordering things earlier on. Now it's almost automatic.

I have a simple rule...no toy over $20

That's it!

pre-order and save. that and i wait for something really spectacular....... see sig puwahahaha :tflol

He killed poor Cl Hotrod with in 2 days of getting him.

mine nephew killed him in 2 minutes.... looked like megatron and jazz

I would have tried to fix him but he broke him in the chest hinge. No way to fix that.

mines in denial about how much i've spent, but as soon as i'm gone she trashing it i'm sure. she won't even bother with selling.

i didn't want any from the movie but then i thought, "i've got all of these other transformers and none for what be remembered as transformers because of the movie... that's just stupid." i found the one not in the movie, dropkick to be the best. still got bumblebee and a few others, nothing more expensive than voyager.

especcialy on those rare fan made items like the gascan gun for alternator prime.... i'll buy any accessory for alternators

dude - mp prime is almost indestructible !

Except for paint chipping - mine had that right out of the box, practically. And I'm waiitng for someone to report his antennae breaking off when his topheavyness makes him dive off the shelf.
