The problem with this to-scale thing is that it effectively turns "basic" into "motorcycles", "deluxe" into "cars", "voyager" into "trucks", and "ultra" / "leader" / "supreme" into jets.

Which sucks.

Deluxe toys are a lot of fun to play with, and I would really hate to be limited to a particular subset of Autobots just because that's the only thing that would be "in scale" at that size class.

not to mention -- what do you do about triple changers? LOLOLOLOLOL

Very true. I've got both Classics Starscream and MP Starscream. The Deluxe Classics version is far more fun, IMO.

As for triple changers, Deluxe size FTW!

Hasbro's proved via Astrotrain and Octankor that they can make :awsum triple changers at the Deluxe size. I think I would actually be a bit peeved if they released more Universe triple changers as Voyagers or Ultras.

And combiners. If they made a new Defensor, picture him with a little motorcycle dangling off his shoulder as an arm :D

It's funny. The same people who want to send the Scale Gestapo after Aaron Archer are the same people who generally want there to be more, updated combiner teams.

Which, if you're taking scale into account, wouldn't work.

A combiner made up of construction vehicles would be a different size then one made up of cars, as well as one made up of military vehicles, etc....

So if Hasbro was going by a scale chart the combiners would all be different sizes, yet I guarantee you the fandom would still complain.

I actually had him as a kid, so I have a soft spot for the big loser. Though I think the Armada Tidal Wave mould would work better with him. Aircraft carrier/jet triple changers are full of :fail once you get nostalgia out of the way.

Wallscream is great for display, but classics Screamer is definately more fun to fiddle with. I don't need to schedule free time just to tf him...

Well guys, I was going to do some quotes but I can't really address all of your rapid fire quips, so I'll ask a question. Why do those of you who don't care about or adamantly dislike scale read this thread or ones like it and comment?

As for the anger issues, I know that some people in this thread have taken shots at others, on both sides. It exists. As does the aspect of "STFU and take what you get because otherwise the sky is going to fall on you".

If I lived in a world of "this is how it is and how it always shall be" I would be bored as h***. I don't, and I'm not.

I refuse to believe in all of the designers of these toys there aren't a few dreamers.

I think I would cry if Hasbro ever made that their standard Seeker size just for the sake of scale. 'Cause I would still buy them all :emo

Yeah really. Play value has to be a factor. Stuff that isn't fun to transform = :fail unless you're into display pieces

I would be very happy with something in between.

By the way, I'm not arguing for absolutism. There is probably no such thing.
