I started with Beast Wars (I wasn't alive during the 80's) and lost interest with BM. The 2007 movie brought me back in.

My first Transformers were Constructicon Hook and Trypticon. Trypticon was second hand, and didn't come with his accessories, but he was still fun! Then came Beast Wars, which really sparked my interest. I became more passive after RiD, but I still bought the occasional figure (especially Unicron). Once I got access to satellite, I got back in full force in, of all things, Cybertron! I have no current plans of stopping my interest in Transformers. :tfgrin

I watched beast Wars, B.M. then stoped and about a month ago started watching Animated, :P

Started during G1 era but stopped in the late 80s/early 90s. Resumed in the 2000s.

that one (left for puberty came back for alternators)

G1 died when the show ended and they started airing Pretenders commercials JMO

I was into Transformers from 1985-1988, and then not again until Robots in Disguise came out.

This is too G1 centric. I started being into TFs continuously since Beast Wars season 2 was in mid-airing.

Yeah well, that's because Transformers came from G1. :P I'm not saying that Transformers has to be the be all and end all for Transformers, but I'd say most of us were first exposed to Transformers during G1.

But anyway, you would count under "Started after G1 era and never stopped." :)

Started when i got Rumble & Ravage back in 84,lost interest at the start of G2 & discoverd wine, women & song.

Started getting interested again during R.I.D. Then i really got back into things when i watched Beast Wars re-runs on TV.

Took a break after G1.. well.. more speific, Season 3. It just wasn't the same kind of thing anymore to me.. I still managed to pick up a few guys like PM Prime and stuff.. but no pretenders.. headmasters either.

I got maybe like 2 G2 figures. Still wasn't the same to me. Jazz and Terradive to be exact. Never had a Jazz before then.

BW came out, I didn't even acknowledge it.. I saw the CGI commericals of it before I knew about the TF show. Saw it pretty much as an attempt to cash in on the Transformer name.. - wasn't my transformers though. I started watching the show mostly because it came on before something else I liked to watch.. and I got sucked into it. I blame BW brilliant writing to getting me back into the franchise.

Believe it or not I totally forgot all about who all the G1 characters were at this point.. I remembered like, say Sunstreaker, as being the yellow car with the funny head..

Anyway.. didn't get into BM much. I hardly touched it. Hardly touched RiD either.. I bought into armada though, which was kind of interesting.. passed on energon, passed on cybertron (for the most part) I got all the movie guys sans weirdo repaints and real gear stuff.. I have EVERY intention of having a full set of Animated. I haven't been this pleased with transformers in a long time.

I guess I just don't like japanese transformers as much as I like american produced ones..

I picked up a few G1s in 1984 or so, then for some reason (oh yeah, high school) never thought about TFs until the mid 90s, once I graduated college and had money of my own. I probably gathered up about 30 between then and the Movie debut in 07; now I have over 300. Despite my best efforts, I haven't slowed down.
