  • 1 month later...

This is the first dedicated thread to Voyager Prime I could find, which is a shame because it is so negative. It'd be great if there was a "neutral" title, but I am guilty of that too, I guess.

I own all 3 Primes in this line. Why? Because I'm a sucker for Primes. I probably would've gotten Voyager Movie Prime for no reason just to have it, but I missed out on the "good" Target version.

Anyways! This guy. Thanks for mentioning the tab! I never noticed it before, although I guess I wasn't having troubles before. I was forcing the gravity gimmick up into position, which I see now is a mistake, and hopefully the 2-3 times I've done it hasn't caused irreversible damage.

I cannot express how awesome this version is. Oh, sure, he packs up tightly in alt mode, but it is about 95% accurate to G1 Optimus, which is awesome. And unfolded in robot mode he is JUST the right size! I use the Deluxe's axe like most other people, mostly because I'm waiting for the mod from this site. I do love the two-axe look, with one over his shoulder and the other in front (Deluxe got the gun). I also really like the look of the axe as a backpack/wings, which is sweet looking. This is probably my love of Galaxy Force Convoy speaking though. I do find it stays in place better with the gun there, for the record.

So... Yeah. Awesome poseability, intimidating look, great leader.

I have him sitting in the box, and I think for the first time ever I have no intrest in opening a Transformers. I mean in the past, even the ones that I knew would be crap I still opened just cause it was new, but not this guy.

I have a box of sealed Animated figures in the corner cause I like having doubles, but all these I think I'm just gonna auction off come the holidays instead of keeping them.

Good, other wise all this would get real boring real fast :tfpwn

As long as it's civil, I always welcome a diffent oppinion, keeps the mind from going mushy.

I was about to grab a camera and show off this guy in the midst of his peers (the entire Animated line save Voyager Megs, Bulkhead, and Blitzwing), then I noticed my camera isn't present.

A shame, too. It's a nice group photo. I'll take it tomorrow, I promise.

I hope yours is a bad copy, and your opinion differs from mine. :)

I agree, I think its a problem on his part. I've seen so many of these used, with zero problems, so whats up with that?

This is the only animated Prime I really want.

Glad I know now how it works before I too screw it up in one way or other.

Bumblebee'D

one thing I did wonder about is why the shoulders can extend a bit...what I did just for kicks before putting him on the shelf was keep the legs retracted and unfold the shoulders down with the faceplate open. Kind of a more lanky geeky look...then can "super" him up with the legs and placing the shoulders properly.
