That is simply awsome news. As for the Blackbird as Jetfire...wow. Wonder who the earth mover will be. And they're using a Go-Bot for a character in Transformers. Stinger was a Renegade, so maybe he'll be a Decepticon. As for the shard of the Allspark, it's either a plot taken from Animated, or it's the shard that Optimus had in his possession and he lost it at some point between TF and TF2:RotF. Of course, the only other alternative is it's a shard that remained from when a sample was attempted to have been extracted that resulted in the Three Mile Island incident (I'm referencing the prequel comic).

why are they mixing go bots with transformers :tfhuh :wtf

...Yeah sure, like TFverse is lacking of characters to fit in.

Jetfire = SR-71 Blackbird?

wat?

I thought the Blackbird was retired long ago. I mean, it's one thing to use a vehicle that's not quite as much on the cutting edge as a prototype Camaro, but it doesn't make sense to have a vehicle mode that's not even in use anymore. I mean, if I see a Blackbird flying overhead my first thought isn't "oh, that's normal," it's "somebody broke into the Air and Space Museum... carrying some jet fuel!" It doesn't seem like a sensible disguise, not to mention it's old and no longer awesome like Michael Bay likes.

Thanks, TFormers.com for correctly listing the BOTS first, then the HUMANS (opposite of the TF Movie blog). :D

It doesn't seem like a sensible disguise,

You're delusional if you think TF's remotely give a damn about disguise anymore.

Maybe Jetfire lands near a museum displaying one, and via his scanners identifies it as a match of approx size and mass for him to use as an alternate mode. I mean, technically Prime's base is a late 80's Peterbilt 379 (which is a model that's still in production)

maybe the SR-71 is a working title to describe the type of jet they are looking to use. Basicly it's a new jet that is an advance version of the SR-71. At this time they don't know the name but the airforce just says "it's like the SR-71". Same deal with the RAptors. Transformers was the first film to debut the actual jet. So maybe the Airforce is doing it again using the TF2 to debut their next toy. But this is all hopfull thinking I'm just writing to take some stress away from those worried about the film using a retired plane. I don't care either way. I like the blackbird. Besides its a perfect disguise because it's invisible to radar and flies so high you will never see it over your head.

I am a little conserned about the dorky altmodes used on the new autobots. I really hope that the ice cream truck thing is temperairy and that these twins scan something else.
