But you do want one that's smaller than Optimus Prime and Megatron? :tfhuh

*Busts out the Classics Prime/Megs vs. pack molds.*

Problem solved. :P

... I hate that Prime mold.

Love the Megs, though. Might be because G2 Megs was my first... and only (non-BW) Megatron toy to date.

His robot mode is too kickass...we will never get anything as close to that in robot mode from Hasbro again. Plus, I like tanks. It doesn't bother me.

/space cannons are ghey anyway

And let's not forget it was a space cannon with treads...otherwise known as a "tank". The change in alt. mode is less than drastic, IMO.

Nah, I don't want a Galvatron that towers over Cyclonus and Rodimus Prime.

:pfx (and don't forget Titanium Scourge).

Towering >>>> Tiny

Sure. Why would I want Optimus to fight Galvatron? They're not rivals. Rodimus/Hot Rod and Galvatron are.

Besides, a Galvatron that is taller than Cyclonus is nary a Galvatron at all.

Except for the "space" part.

Hmm.. the box for the 25th Prime says "25th Anniversary". That sounds more like G1 than "25 years of Transformers" to me. I'm not against 25th anniversary releases of figures from toylines that're 25 years old, but isn't this Hot Shot a tad premature? If the intention was really to celebrate 25 years of transformers, it seems more appropriate to stamp that blurb on every TF product over the next year or so.

On the practical side, it seems more likely they decided to stick with a "safe" release based on this being a popular character and from a mold they're more likely to have access to that can probably still churn out product.

Yeah, but it was Season 3. Everyone was a "space" something. Geez, Springer was a Space MASK vehicle and no one complains when he ends up just a helicopter.

Springer doesn't have a futuristic, day-glo orange cannon sticking out of his ass. Like I said, my problem with the alt-mode is the cannon on a realistic tank design. Making him a generic space tank would fix the problem.

... also I don't like the robot mode. At all. But that's more my problem when I feel like the awkwardness of other thing is something the designers should have taken into account.

OK, for all you complaining about Hot Shot. He is but one of the 25th anniversary universe figures coming out. 25th anniversary is going to encompass ALL lines, and will likely see multiple figures from each line. Armada Hot Shot makes sense for the Armadaverse, simply because his original figure was the absolute worst of all the toys and was one of the most popular characters. Bear in mind that Hot Shot and the Classics 2.0 were all that has been revealed for 25th anniversary so far, we've still got Beast Wars, Beast Machines, RID, Energon, Cybertron, etc. etc. etc.

Absolute worst of Armada? I think you forget good ol' Sideswipe.

Hmm. I thought it was only going to be two toys. One for each lines basically kills all my angst about this, then.
