Cyb Hotshot is a good mold, but the colors sucked. Now Excellion is pwn, he's got a great mold and great colors (Hot Rod colors!!)

+ According to Archer, Hot Shot was a great opportunity to re-do a guy who needed to be redone. It wont be out till around this time next year.

 

Hmm. Sounds like they're redoing him from the bottom up, with different engineering and whatnot but with the same basic concept.

 

Might be an average toy then. The room needed for the minicon gimmick will probably farg it up as it screwed up all the deluxe sized ones in Armada... It took them to Cybertron to get that right, and even then it was uneven.

I was expecting that, though. I wonder if he'll ever get remade... He and Fort Max are the best sellers of the US G1 line nowadays... They're a kind of holy grail to many. A remade version of either would be pwntastic.

 

+ Its not confirmed what Perceptor transforms into, but he does have the microscope bazooka shoulder cannon. They don't mass shift. Possibly, he'll still transform into a microscope or maybe a telescope.

You know, normally I think it's ghey for people to mega-complain about TF toylines... but this is a for fans toyline. Doing something as stupid as Hot Shot when AEC was largely reviled(A lot of people bought the toys, true, but just as many hated them, and even the ones who liked them most likely would have prefered a more iconic character) is just... out of touch with your consumer base.

 

Christ. I've never thought this before, and I doubt I'll think it again: Aaron Archer put his opinion over that of the people he's supposed to be selling these things to. So, I say this knowing I will never say it again: Fucking Aaron Archer. Fuck him.

My question is this, are there some pictures, or something I'm not seeing? Because they announced this info about megatron last year (or even before then- I'm not positive exactly when) when they announced alternators would be going away for a while at least.

 

I'm just not quite sure why this is news again (unless there have been new developements or pictures of the proto type)

Not really. His character was among the most popular for the kids(AKA most of the market), and he's one of Aaron Archer's favorites.

 

That said, sticking him in a FAN line is basically shooting yourself in the foot. Regardless, however, he will sell simply because it's going to be a new mold in the Universe style.
