Hmm... that makes me wonder. I interpreted Hasbro's comments at OTFCC to mean that they are currently investigating the possibility of rescue vehicle Alternators, but haven't decided yes or no yet so they aren't saying anything about it.

Here's the thing, though: Prowl is the only one I could really see happening, at least in a way that looks anything like his G1 counterpart. As far as Red alert goes, every single fire chief's car I have seen is either this: [sedan]

or this: [truck]

or this: [sUV]

I don't think we'll be seeing Red alert unless his G1 link to Sideswipe is completely severed. (Fine with me since a Lamborghini fire/rescue vehicle was beyond ridiculous anyway.)

But then it seems to me that he could just as easily be Ratchet, especially if Ironhide does end up as a Ram.

As far as Grapple and Inferno go... who knows. And as for Hoist, who cares. (I never liked him at all.)

Which is why I've said from the beginning that the Subaru should have been used for Red and Prowl. Sedan/4-door performance car as a race car or "hot ride" is kind of stupid, for reasons you already know. BUT, the same car as a pursuit car, or fire chiefs car makes perfect sense. Besides, what kid wants a Crown Vic on any kind of toy? At least the WRX has that performance appeal to those who arent so much into looks. The SUV's would work, Ironhide would work as an Expedition, Ratchet, Inferno, or Red alert as a rescue version. Although I always thought Ratchet would have made more sense as a tow truck. Injured human rides in an ambulance, injured car (robot that turns into one) rides on a tow hook.

And right on about Hoist, AND Grapple. Those two always gave me the creeps when they showed them together. Not that there's anything wrong with that....

I'd like that Integra a lot better for Cliffjumper, the remold could be Rumble/Frenzy. Whichever one didnt get the S2000.

And damn right about that Skyline. Wheeljack, maybe?
