The coolest idea for an Alternator ever...

Very very good and imaginative ideas, and BV, you should work at hasbro. :thumb

If I was to guess, Wheeljack would be made into a C5-R, instead of just a Tracks recolor. Basically the same idea as the Viper competition coupe for Dead End/Sunstreaker from the first Sideswipe Viper SRT-10.

Now, as for Hot Rod/Rodimus, I've said it before and I'll say it again, he's gotta be a front engine car with the block/blower sticking out of the hood. Now, since no current cars would meet that standard, the closest would be a customized C6, as with the proper mods would actually resemble the Hot Rod we know (for all we know, Hot Rod's mode could have been intended to be a future 'vette back in '85, who knows, but the sharply sloped windshield, long nose, and quad taillights are quite close *see cartoon & movie, not toy*). And I'd rather see Kup as a Nissan Nails still (again, since these were characters introduced for 2005, these would be distinct possibilities as their intended forms). Now, as for Ironhide & Ratchet, i know it's not quite as exciting, but the Dodge Ram cargo vans are perfect, especially since many of those are converted into medical vans anyway. Make Trailbreaker a Durango or RAM with a topper, and Hoist as a RAM towtruck. Also, not as exciting, but more believable... Chevy Impala for Prowl & Red alert... Already being used as cop cars & fire chief cars, mold would be similar enough to the Impreza mold to keep the same look/transformation.

ok here i go

Hotrod = Ford GT40

Kup = Chevy SSR

Arcee = mazda miata (since she's not the HS2G)

Prowl and Redalert = Chevy Impala, with the orginal Redalert transformation that sideswipe should've gotten

Mirage = Enzo

Ironhide = Ram srt-10 with the RiD spy changers transformation

Wreck-gar = Harley

Swoop = ninja (hey they made grim a stang) and they could do the bike so that the sides kinda fold down into wings in bot mode and the front of the bike folds into chest just like his org transfomation.

that's all i can think of right now, i don't really care how they do the rest that's just my want list

God damnit, prowl should be a crown victoria.

No, no, no - Prowl should be a retool of the Subaru mold. Give him two rocket launchers to perch on his shoulders. Furius George's pics say it all for me. Personally, I don't think it'll happen any other way.

I think Red alert as a Viper is kind of stupid, too, but it's true to his G1 form (well, in the sense that he's a repaint of Sideswipe). To be quite honest, if they don't ever release Red alert I won't complain.

Soundwave - Hummer

Frenzy @ Rumble - 24 inch Rims

It's an interesting idea, but it would take some pretty AMAZING engineering skills to make a cool robot that turns into a freakin' wheel. They'd be tiny, too - way too small.

And I hate the idea of Soundwave as a car - I can't help it. I still think the Hummer should be reserved for Ratchet and Ironhide.

The Kawasaki Ninja is an awesome idea - you know who'd be perfect? Ravage... (Well, maybe.)

I think Mirage as an Enzo Ferrari is actually a pretty cool idea, too, if we don't get an Indy car...

I really hope they do a new mold for Sunstreaker, if only because Lamborghini makes just amazing looking machines.

what about Nightbird?

We gotta reverse engineer Soundwave. About how tall was he in the comics/cartooons? What kind of alt. mode would contain a robot that size?

Speaking of Decepticons, how about an Alternators Triple-Changer Blitzwing?

Okay, now here I go.

Prowl: Lamborgini Mucielago.

Starscream: Repainted red/white/grey from prowl with some extra spoilers and such to give it a more "wing-like" feel.

Soundwave: H2, rumble and frenzy as a sound system in soundwave.

Megatron: Mustang, same as Grimlock's.(awaits the tomatoes to be thrown)

Ratchet: Ford Explorer painted like a rescue vehicle.

Blaster: Same as soundwave, only a little retooled.

I personally think that the racing cars should continue to be racing cars as Alts. Smokescreen was way cool b/c of that, and Jazz (sorry I'm not calling him "Meister") suffers b/c he's just a street car. He looks too boring as "just" a white car. Believe it or not (and speedbullit, if you're reading this, yes I am about to reverse my opinion), I might actually pimp out Jazz with some racing decals once I get him. (My apologies to everyone with good taste -- I've become addicted to NFS Underground.... :redface )

So anyway, here are my thoughts:

Skids: would only be cool IMO as a pimped-out hatchback (see above for explanation of my sudden insanity)

Trailbreaker/Ironhide: Dodge Ram -- duh (also repaint as Inferno)

Prowl: Subaru Impreza (the robot mode for that mold is too perfect not to use)

Wheeljack: racing version of the 2005 'Stang

Sunstreaker: well, you know

Mirage: F1 racer (if they could make that work in the first place)

Bumblebee/Cliffjumper: Dodge Neon (looks increasingly likely)

Red alert: lame character, stupid toy idea.... don't care if he ever sees the light of day

Hoist/Grapple: ditto

I don't want to see any Minibots besides Bumblebee and Cliffjumper -- at least they're the only ones I would care about. (And Cliffjumper mainly because he's a no-brainer repaint of Bumblebee.)

I would also like to see more non-car Alternators (meaning that the characters' original alt modes weren't cars or trucks). But specifically, I am most interested in those G1 TFs whose alt modes make them impractical or unlikely to be "redone". (Leave the jets alone for now, in other words.)

For instance, I am intrigued by the idea of Blaster as an Alternator, but I think he should be a BIG ride, perhaps an SUV. He could easily be repainted as Soundwave. And then, if Hasbro were really really attuned to the voices of the fans, you could include lots of little "components" that could become the Autobot or Decepticon "tapes". I dunno what they would be -- maybe part of the engine, or something in the interior, or (what the heck) maybe even the subs in the back of the vehicle. :D

P.S. Xbob I KNOW you didn't just say Nightbird.

P.P.S. The phrase "Alternators: Military" just gave me wood.

P.P.P.S. How do you guys think this is all going to play out with the upcoming movie? Do you think they would use some of these designs, or start over? And if so, would that.... work, to have two different lines with similar products? You know what I mean? Just a thought.

man I hope someone just handed you a 2x4 because if not your in the wrong forum...
