I'd call Blitwing though. I couldn't see a Pretender making it as an Alternator. Bleah.

I think the bot could be anyone (since Grimlock's a car now). I have a feeling though it will be some 84-86 characters. Like you, I don't want to see any pretenders (at least not this early into the line) :)

I had a chance at a 2 door version but I passed. I can honestly say the extra room was worth it and it's still one of the best looking cars in a parking lot

Though if any Pretender ever made it as an Alternator, it'd be Bludgeon.

 

Still.... when you're seeing Has/Tak make Alts out of classic characters like Jazz and Grimlock, it's a long shot.

To each his own, if you like it, go for it. At least Pontiac gives you a choice of bodystyles, which is all I really ask.

Some Allspark members suggested the Mustang GT-R as a Repaint/Remold of Grimlock. I think it's a damn cool idea, and unlike others ;), there's a good chance of it being a reality.

Now that's BITCHIN'!!! Thing is, those wheels have gotta go. That type of design looks really out of place on any kind of muscle car. I liked those dark grey torque thrust wheels that they were using on the Bullit Mustangs, or the slimmer mags used on the Mach1 version from last year.

This is perhaps the best representation of what Alt. Prowl should be.

 

Similar scheme as G1, a Subaru, and the most importat thing, ie. A REAL CAR.

Hmm... that makes me wonder. I interpreted Hasbro's comments at OTFCC to mean that they are currently investigating the possibility of rescue vehicle Alternators, but haven't decided yes or no yet so they aren't saying anything about it.

 

Here's the thing, though: Prowl is the only one I could really see happening, at least in a way that looks anything like his G1 counterpart. As far as Red alert goes, every single fire chief's car I have seen is either this: [sedan]

 

or this: [truck]

 

or this: [sUV]

 

I don't think we'll be seeing Red alert unless his G1 link to Sideswipe is completely severed. (Fine with me since a Lamborghini fire/rescue vehicle was beyond ridiculous anyway.)

 

But then it seems to me that he could just as easily be Ratchet, especially if Ironhide does end up as a Ram.

 

As far as Grapple and Inferno go... who knows. And as for Hoist, who cares. (I never liked him at all.)
