bumblebee complete

Well, that's just all in the bashers opinion...Some of us like a clean version, some of us like it banged up some..I think either or really works for all of these figures.

As always, very excellent work Wheeljack--I can't wait to see him finished.

Hells yeah! This is one of those jobs that I'd imagined doing as soon as I got my Classic BB open. But even if I had managed to do exactly how I'd imagined it, It would've maybe been half as awesome as this!

Honestly? I think it'd work better with a weathered, paint faded, rust-spotty look. I think it would fit more than a 'show quality' look. How many pristine VW bugs do you see driving around out there? :tftongue

fair enough. didn't change my mind though. ;)

Sami, thanks mang.

Tom Servo, :redface get outta here with that half as good jive. ;)

Inspiring work! My own kit is on the way, and thanks for the close-ups of the folding doors in particular. That will also come in handy on another project I'm working on. To be honest, I wasn't going to bother folding the back in, for stability, but it looks good.

Clean paint job looks good, too. Bumblebee wasn't tarnished in G1, why should a classic Bumblebee be? It's getting to the point, anyway, where the only VWs left on the roads are the ones that have been lovingly maintained. (I was a VW geek for many years; if you discount the engine, my '72 microbus is pretty close to mint.)

...and how many VWs you see turn into robots. I don't think any customizer should be basing design on reality. lol. ;)

It's a Wheeljack, actually. I'm re-doing Energon Downshift, and the biggest part of that bash is the Cl. Bumblebee-style legs. I've used E. Barricade's legs as the skeleton as Bumblebee's were too narrow. It's a long way from completed!
