Wow, that's some good stuff! I love the Classic car design they gave him, but it's really cool that you got this shell to fit on him the way you did. That totally brings out the 'Bee.

here if you want to have some pics of how he will look at the end .. i did the same project a while back and this should give you some pointers (if you need any) great work ;) link:

Thanks guys, he's coming along. should have final shots up this weekend.

hunter rose, the doors will fold back. Check the link anemis provided of his. ;)

btw and just to be fair, sonray a had valiant go at this too.

kalron, thanks for the model ideas. I like CJ mold as it is but he's been a just a repaint for so long. I really want to give him his proper due! I'm a very big nerd.

Fire Convoy, thanks but there's no need for compliments at the expense of others. I know you mean well but anemis has more skill than most of this board combined. no hard feelings mate. ;)

Anemis, thanks for the link. I was frantically looking for it a week ago. My doors will fold back too :clap. had you considered doing your cliffjumper with a new shell?

cheers guys,

wj

well actually i have allot of new pics that i need to put... allot better then what you see there lol the main thing that you might have problems with are the doors (which i know you wont have much problems dealing with it) but be carefull of the rear wheels... they,ll need to be out of sync with the original holes for them... you,ll have to move them back further and that will create problems... personnally i had to build new rear wings and install them further back.. that will be batchy !! but of course the most be a better way and i hope you find it ! ( i really hated that part of the construction)

as for cliffjumper i am building one with a porshe shell pretty much the same way (still havent finish him) but i,ll post new pics when it,s done !

your project is coming along great !! keep at it ! and dont worry about people such as fire convoy... i get that kind of response often... why ? i have an answer but it wont do anyone any good by trashing someone on the boards since it aint my style to do so and this is not the place to do it as well and some people should realize this as well !!

so on that good luck and good work ;)

thanks anemis!

oh and I forgot to mention for everyone that was wondering. 1/32 scale VW. here's a link to the exact model I got.

cheers guys.

1:32 :eek

That must be tiny!!

I was working on a 1:24 reshell and it seemed to fit the deluxe size pretty well.

But I'm not using CL-BB maybe he is that tiny.

Anyway both of your figures are beautifully done - I cant wait to see more.

Oh man WJ. That's genius. I've been pondering the same sort of project and love the away you tucked the upper hood under the roof/chest. That really gives this jammy toon accurate legs.

Kudos, it's gonna be another hit I believe.

Thanks guys,

I'm gonna try to make it "show car" worthy in alt mode.

Honestly? I think it'd work better with a weathered, paint faded, rust-spotty look. I think it would fit more than a 'show quality' look. How many pristine VW bugs do you see driving around out there? :tftongue
