I dont get the love of G1 Galvatrons cannon form. It looks like a desktop pencil sharpener with a pen grip jammed in.. Something Ricky Gervais wouldnt even use in The Office.

This one looks like a mobile battering ram with BFG.. Cool.

Thank you Hasbro, for not making Galvatron a megatron repaint. I was hoping it was a repaint of the smaller Energon Megatron figure, but hell a tank works well for Galvatron...

close, but he looks to be take visual cues from the earlier versions of the Israeli IDF Merkava (like a MK1 or 2 version)

I like the head, but the legs and whatever is hanging by the butt look horrible.

Galvy looks pretty freaking sweet. This will be one of the only figs I have that will not have the missle displayed w/ him. It is more toon accurate to leave it out of the cannon.

 

Well, it looks like the Classics 2.0/Universe line is going to be great (which is nice since it will make up for that crappy Animated line).

Looks like that Titaniums Megatron. Anyway, I like the colors. Mold isn't interesting me.

Unbelievable. This is one I will not waste my money on.

So divided over this. I can't work out if I like it or not. Head is definitely better than than the Energon version. Probably going to end up getting it because as a deluxe it'll be cheap, but have a few reservations about the design.

 

I can't stop thinking about it though so I'll probably be getting it!

I like Galvatron, but I agree, there doesn't seem to be any reason for him to not be in his G1 form. While the original toy had an awkward gun mode, the cannon was the primary alt-mode. As the other classics toys are very similar to their G1 counterparts, I can't see the reasoning in making Galvatron into a tank.

Well, now that you mention it, I remember them specifically talking about Classics Galvatron being an Ultra. But why wouldn't they bring that one to Toy fair if they were making it?

 

I too suspect this was carried over from Titanium. But we've seen them upsize and downsize toy molds before. Why not make this bigger?
