Hasbro did a good job with Galvatron. While I understand why some are upset because they went with a tank for the alt mode, we have to keep in mind that there are stupid people out there that would make it appear as if it's a gun. Of course, the orange translucent cannon should be a giveaway.

 

We're getting a Galvatron, it's not a repaint, we should be happy. Although making him a deluxe seems stupid, but maybe Galvatron doesn't sell that well?

Will I get it? yes. Do I wish it had just been the voyager class Energon Megatron repainted in the same Galvatron colorscheme as the Leader class Energon Galvatron? YES! But I digress.

Oh, don't worry, I'll be keeping my superlink Galvy G w/ my classics anyway, I was just hoping to see that particular mold redone with the E. Galvy scheme 'cus the dark purple & black crown are full of win to me, and regular E. Galvy is just too big unfortunately. Unless we ever get a leader class Rodimus that is...

the only reason for that is because he's been a repaint of a character that almost everyone has already bought 6 months ago.

 

the hands and the way that he looks seriously suggest that this was going to be a Titanium mold. Lets's just hope he has decent articulation and no floppiness and that the shockwave, Arcee and Cosmos from that line will cross into this line

I don't think Galvatron was ever intended to be a Titanium if for no other reason than the spring loaded missile firing feature, which the Titaniums have all lacked, if I'm not mistaken.

 

Admittedly, it could have been added to the mold after-the-fact, but something about it just doesn't strike me as an afterthought.

There's nothing about this that looks like a Titanium figure to me. An open hand doesn't mean anything, as many of the Titaniums can tell you. Plus, I really can't see anyplace where metal parts would have been used.

 

Not to mention, it doesn't look sucky... just saying; IIRC Hasbro's Galoob team worked on the Titaniums, not their TF team.

I imagine that some repaints do sell well though. Galvatron is also not around that much in the show when he does show up so it that is a negative. I don't think this was going to be a Titanium figure. It's just the way they designed it. In fact, this is how Transformers have been designed in recent years.
