My only question to Pete is how this situation will entice others to join TFCC. This is getting ugly and can't be good publicity in the very least.

 

Of course, I feel like laughing seeing the Avatar from the cover of Issue 17 (note, I am NOT complaining about it since that was a pic we posted on our free site lol)

 

I have done my best to let everyone know, we are not trying to withhold info, we are just trying to beat ebay and to get members an exclusive first look. It is really no different than anything else. I think most people, even non-members, get that.

 

To be honest, the Club actually has been doing crazy well lately because we are continually raising the bar and offering more and more content and so on by the week. 2008 will be a watershed year for us. All we want to do is make the hobby more exciting and give fans a direct link to Hasbro and to the line we all love... (sorry, that sounded kind of mushy, just trying to make a point)

After the "bend over" that the fans got from the botcon classics seekers "fiasco" last year, it should be apparent that consideration for the general fanbase is never a real concern.

Then maybe your response should have included "Im glad you liked the image, we have many more exclusive images to members of the club." Not to mention the club is practically USA Only due to the price of membership. Try and branch out into the UK and other countries with membership fees in keeping with the countries current market trends and you may do better. Coming in like a battleaxe doesnt endeer, remember Transformers Fandom is a Community and too many Exclusives separate the community.

 

Good point, the US isn't the only ones with TF fans and alot of times they get shafted with all these exclusive figures. Of course, the other problem is with fluctuating currency values between countries. Just ask Canadians about monetary parity, they'll be happy to explain it.

pete, i intended to wait out for proof of ownership or a tos violation @ pb, but i've been pretty sick of late so i'm not in a defiant mood. have fun, don't gloat too much though.

Honestly, we want everyone to be a member. Aside from it clearly being good for us (why lie) but seriously, the more members, the cooler stuff we acn do. We are always working on prices, and International prices are and issue we are working on, but we actually do have a large number of International members...
