TCC Unveils Classic 2.0 Sunstreaker

Recommended Posts

He looks really gangly to me. Skinny arms and legs with a big body.

So, just like Sunstreaker.

Geez, they don't need to be THAT specific when updating a character. I mean, they weren't with Onslaught. I'll still get him.

thats why hasbro can't win.

onslaught is a new design, people Starscream,

Sunstreaker is an updated g1 version people still Starscream

i like the looks of him, i see a lot of articulation on that guy, and i'm talking classics mirage articulation

*saved when first linked at tfw :P*

I don't recall ever Starscreaming. And I mean ever. Besides I'm more or less just giving Hasbro a hard time. Onslaught doesn't scream G1 to me, but I'll still get him. Sunstreaker has gangly limbs, but I'll still get him. And pictures hardly ever do a figure true justice.

me want to see pic, somebodyyyyyyyyyyyyyy (insert really depressing and sad song here) :doh

Well,i don't care if there's people Starscreaming about this mold, (or thundercrackering,or skywarping) i'll buy him as soon as he pops up somewhere, heck,i'll buy two sunstreakers, three sideswipes, and anything else that gets coughed up by the line, yes. even ultra-Powerglide. (Don't you just love it when you don't have to type more than four letters to get that name to pop up?)

If you would actually READ the tread, you'd find the leaked photobucket thingy.

I dunno man, I mean look at those sharp knees. I deffinately would not hit it.

edit: found it :D thanks

I like the looks of him. A definite buy for me.

not a big fan of the "ears", they look a bit weird/skinny, not quite right, love the rest :)

OMG! I love the way Hasbro is squeezing two different robot modes out of the same mold! (not sarcasm)

Total agreement. And it looks like it's more than a "spin the head around" transformation, too. Look at the inner leg, just above the wheel, you can see a black joint that would work as a knee joint with the "wheel" portion of the leg on the side instead of the front/back. I think these two robots from the same mold will look surprisingly different - it's the next evolution from how well they planned Classics Screamer to become Ramjet.

I'd love to see them do a major retool of this mold (like, new kind of car major) into a Classics Punch/Counterpunch, and to see Hasbro apply this kind of engineering to lots of future figures (Optimus/Magnus?), whether they be G1 throwbacks or not. It makes the repaints much more desirable.

agree... it also allows for a degree of fan customization w/o requiring paint brushes or a Dremel.

A gimmick I'd like to see reused (if executed properly, I personally hated the latest incarnation) is the SWTF Millennium Falcon - 2 bots that become one vehicle mode, yeah it was used on Micromasters too, but the way it was done hardly counts in my honest opinion. For what its worth, use 1 alt mode, with 2 small separate robot modes, and a larger combined robot mode. I can't think of any existing characters that this could be used for, but I do think it would be fun.
