Much news and quotes coming in from Don Murphy himself on the forums at DonMurphy.net. Check out these news quotes straight from the man:

"We are staying focused on the original mythology."

"We are working to get permissions for REAL vehicles so that Bumblebee turns into a VW for example."

"Steven is COMPLETELY behind staying true to the mythology- no supersoakers."

"Hasbro has exerted a ton of pressure so that the film happens QUICKLY."

"Your voice is being heard."

"Bumblebee HAS to be a Bug

but why can't Hot Shot be the coolest sports car we can find?"

Does this Mean Megatron will be a Gun!?

Bumblebee and Hotshot in the same movie....... Uh oh! Or did he mean Hotrod?

Bumblebee and Hotshot in the same movie....... Uh oh!  Or did he mean Hotrod?

My thoughts exactly. Either way...

BTW nice link :wtf

Read the forum posts in the link. Sounds like Megs will be a tank, not a gun.

Does this Mean Megatron will be a Gun!?

Thank Primus, no.

TFW2005 pulled out some more interesting quotes:

"No script, no voice actors, plot confidential, just trying to get things done on time"

"Megatron is NOT gonna be a gun That was lame anyway"

"one giant robot doesn't turn into the gun for another nor does a giant robot turn into a tape deck

We MAY have Soundwave- but we'd keep him proportional and make him a cd player or something.

Think REALITY

If Megatron is a tank, then when he transforms it is to scale."

so its not based on g1 as they want to change megs into a tank that i can live with as they will make toys for the film. but they want to keep bumblebee as g1 as posible makes sence the name bumblebee only realy fits a car with the name beatle.

ity also seems like the movie will be a all-stars on the better incarnations(sp) of the g1 cast such as megs with the odd new guy/mold alla hot shot

so long as its got a good story i can be happy

oh and if posible i want megs to be so evil and crule that he scares children when they watch it but still being like the g1 megs we knew

that would def make megs the luv-to-hate bad guy! me likes!
