Bay: "There will never be an extended edition" of Transformers

I saw the IMAX print and it is awesome! It is the future of cinema to see movies in this format. I'm going to see Tranformers one last time and get ready to gear up for Transformers 2. I added two minutes of stuff for IMAX that will never make into any DVD's. There will never be an extended edition.

About the DVD. I like the two disc set. I has all the extras that the others don't have. It is the definitive edition of Transformers. It really breaks down how we made the movie.

Anyway hope you like the IMAX print!

Damn you Peter Jackson, making us think we deserve more of every movie! You too George Lucas... And Quentin Terrentino!

Kinda depressing that the extra 2 mins won't ever be added on in some other future version though..When does the IMAX version come out again? This Friday?

This leads me to believe the extended footage in the IMAX print is probably not that great and likely doesn't feature any botty action.

Yep.

I'm sure that Michael Bay gets a percentage of the dvd sales come October 16th, so obviously he'll say that there won't be another edition. Otherwise, it would have an impact on the initial sales. He wants to maximize the $$$ he makes off of this, so of course he'll say "no extended edition".

A few months from now he'll say "you know, I was looking at that IMAX footage again and I love it so much, I realized that it's a shame that the general public won't get to see it. So I'm making an extended edition DVD release after all."

NOT HERE

I was told by the US Space and Rocket Center "We're going to finish screening Harry Potter first...should start showing in October."

Oh well. I suppose that's not so long.

You know, the only thing I really want is for them to put Barricade's death scene back in the movie. That's the one major plot hole that needs to be filled. Unless they fully intend for him to return for the sequel, of course.

im not surprised... i bet their will be a HD-DVD set with it on
