Actually what I liked best about the SW spotlight? Bludgeon. He kicked ass...took names...TRANSFORMED....SW was written kind of weak actually...

(btw, I'm back)

Has Lazerbeak always been this big?

Just finished Escalation 5. The Prime/Megs fight was kinda disappointing. The action was great, but there was way too much exposition in it, and it felt extremely forced. Who has a monologue during a deathmatch, honestly? I think thought boxes would've conveyed it much better. Overall it was decent, B.

I don't think escalation 6 is going to wrap up much though, just this particular incident in whatever country it is. Does anyone have any guesses to who the Macination's head is? I thought it shockwave, but the end of the issue shot that down.

Well this is the first Prime vs Megs fight in comics in years...I like how there were elements from the Movie in the art (the double hammer fist, "taking you apart with my bear hands" etc). Though they did cram a lot of plot in this...I almost thought the head was the remains of Starscream recovered....but it could be Ravage (he did speak in the spotlight I believe, and they were recovered as well). Or even Soundwave was finally picked up and discovered. Still this story is building up quite nicely

I thought ravage was recovered by the skywatch people, not the macination. :tfhuh

I'd say Starscream. Makes the most sense IMO.

Regarding the comic. Holy Blot, Prime just got the hell kicked out of him. Reminded me very much of the death match between the two in Generation 2. Very brutal & relentless. The dialogue between the two was pretty torturous. I don't know about anyone else but since this whole thing in Russia or wherever it is started has anyone else felt this is a bit disjointed? You know kinda like my sentence structure. it started out one way with Sunstreaker & Hunter getting blitzed/kidnapped & now this whole thing in Russia & to add to it the discovery of Shockblast & Dinobot. There is no way in hell this is all going to tie it's self up by issue 6.

Confusion aside still a pretty good read.

But if it is Starscream, then who are the others that need new bodies? :schin

Also, I went back and reread Infiltration today. The first page of issue one has some of Hunter's website on it, and it talks about events from both the Shockwave and Soundwave spotlights. Talk about knowing where the story's going when you start. But I wonder when we'll see the thing about the field? :schin

Combaticons - You read it here first.

#5 blew me away. That fight scene blew me away and the TFs are finally getting the 'screen time' they deserve. Im pretty sure there was a TF on every last page.

Oh and the discovery at the end :drool

Who wants to wager that Devastation will feature (human controlled) Dinobots running amuck and a temporary Autobot/Decepticon alliance at some point?

I'm guessing that Devastation will be more Autobot on Decepticon war, and that Revalation will deal with Skywatch and the Machination.

apparently, the Galvatron spotlight has been moved to July. Wasn't it supposed to be in march or april? He'll also be making an apperance in Escalation 5, as well as the spotlight coming after his. He'll play a big role in the Devastation arc, and the one following that as well (Revalation). Furman also said Galvatron won't get a Rodimus Prime-like counterpart, but he will be pitted against may other characters, including Megatron and Magnus.

If Galvatron was supposed to make an appearance in Escalation 5 then surely that would make him the head seen talking to the guy in the cowboy hat? I also get the impression that Screamer may be detained at Megatrons leisure from a line spoken by one of the other decepticons. Did anyone have any theories as to what the hell was going on in the Nightbeat spotlight - could that have been Galvatron?
