yeah and after he ownz Barricade at the junkyard

I think I completely missed Prime's gun..... :tfwtf

but what you describe is exactly like what the concept art showed, it swings around from his back

after megs pulls out his big fusion cannon is when prime pulls out his gun, thats what he pops megs with causing him to have to reform his bfg.

also, your correct on the g1 transformation sound, i heard it MANY times, although i only heard it 100% clearly maybe twice. the other times where heavily muffled and/or distorted, but it was def the g1 sound.

Powerglide! I WANNA SEE IT AGAIN!!!

i thought the transformations where freaking awesome!!! and the only one that took too long was the first time you see blackout tf, but that was to draw in audiences and make their jaws drop. well, MISSION COMPLETE! there where a ton of ooo's and ahh's at the theater i attended. also, for the record, jazz's transformation sequence during the autobot introduction was bad ass! esp the end where he kicks back on the car as if he where in a recliner. i can't believe the attention to detail that was given ESP given the movies very moderate budget! the wheels moved on the bots, the little bits and pieces... i don't see how ANYBODY could walk away dissatisfied with the transformations or the movie for that matter.

Bay says that all of them have transforming sounds, but they vary. Blackout's is the most G1-like and that Nokia Transformer also had a pretty close to G1 sounding transformation sound. Ironhide's transformation sound is also similar, but far more mechanised. The others all have it... it just sounds different. They've basically tried to incorporate the old school transforming sound with realistic transformation sounds. But yeah, Blackout's TFing noise is the most old school. ;)

Now visually some of them do have transformation similarities with their G1 counterparts... Optimus Prime still has his truck window chest, Starscream still has the cockpit window on his body and wings on his back, Ratchet still has the cab compartment for his chest (albeit upside down), Ironhide still has headlights on his chest, Jazz still has his grill & headlights rack and Devastator - if you wanna take him as Brawl - still has the tank turret on his back and treads on the sides of his legs.

Prime's matrix spark chamber FTW!!!!

seriously, i almost shat myself at that point!

i liked the transformation...they seem so real and cybernatics..miss the ould G1 sound tho!

Listen carefully next time just as Blackout starts transforming; it's totally there... I could also swear that I heard heavily modified versions of the transforming sound at various moments in the movie.

awww, now i just HAVE to get the dvd or blu ray once its available

!! :tfevil

:07laugh :tflaugh 'Realistic' transformation sounds?

Watch TRANSMORPHERS for G1 style morphing.

Agrees.

What ILM accomplished was more awe/aspiring than anything the g1 cartoon/any Transformers cartoon could ever pull off.

G1 Transformation. Hey look a truck is standing upright.

Movie transformations. pwns all.

Yup. I caught that. His rifle/cannon transforms on his back before he whips it out to fire. A nice variation considering quite a few of the TFs in the film have their arm/s transform into their weapons (BB, Ratchet, Starscream, Megatron and maybe Jazz).

I've seen it 4 times now & the G1 transformation sound is in a lot (if not all) of the transformations. Sounds terrible IMO. :tdown
