the transformations

By G1 transformations do you mean the same sequence or the fall to the ground and two frames later be a car. either way I don't think that would work. G1 was awesome but I would rather they pull small parts from it as throw backs instead of cloning it.

Bay says that all of them have transforming sounds, but they vary. Blackout's is the most G1-like and that Nokia Transformer also had a pretty close to G1 sounding transformation sound. Ironhide's transformation sound is also similar, but far more mechanised. The others all have it... it just sounds different. They've basically tried to incorporate the old school transforming sound with realistic transformation sounds. But yeah, Blackout's TFing noise is the most old school. ;)

Now visually some of them do have transformation similarities with their G1 counterparts... Optimus Prime still has his truck window chest, Starscream still has the cockpit window on his body and wings on his back, Ratchet still has the cab compartment for his chest (albeit upside down), Ironhide still has headlights on his chest, Jazz still has his grill & headlights rack and Devastator - if you wanna take him as Brawl - still has the tank turret on his back and treads on the sides of his legs.

Prime's matrix spark chamber FTW!!!!

seriously, i almost shat myself at that point!

That was really cool. I love how they brought in the spark / Allspark concepts from BW/BM. Also the fact that the Transformers themselves don't have a clue how it is that this cube can create mechanical life. :note se-quel... :note

we'll undoubtedly see the allspark again. i can only assume

that if it can regenerate other transformers than it can regenerate it's self. as soon as prime picked that piece out of meg's chest i thought "yup, theres a sequel hint"

I prefer the movie transforming over the G1 transforming.

Ok, ok, ok, so I'm the only one. I get the point. And as for the transformation sound, ya, it was in there alot. I've only seen it once so far cuz of my crazy schedule, but I think I'm gonna go again tomorrow nite. Maybe these transformations will grow on me.
