:tflaugh Of course, Skids' driver is a hippie

I sketched a lot of versions of Megatron (mainly his head) but none of them seemed to work. (I couldn't make it work, anyway.) His "helmet" just looked too goofy on a guy. So this last weekend I was screwing around with maybe altering the look of his head a bit, making the flare parts of his helmet part of his shoulders instead. I thought it looked pretty good. As for the rest of him, I sort of went the futuristic route again, making him a bit of a cyborg so his right arm could support such a huge cannon. Then I streamlined him a bit with a kind of bodysuit, like a wetsuit. It's not finished. There will be lots of details on the suit so he doesn't look naked. I haven't worked out his feet yet.

Rough sketch...comments appreciated!

I Loved your Prime, but all I can say here is: try again. It's not working. Take this from some one who thinks you exibited some serious genius on Prime. Start Over.

Honesty's good. Yeah, I'm still working it out. Like I said, he's a hard guy to nail in human form. Any more opinions out there?

Thanks to all for the comments. Any more opinions out there?

For Megatron, maybe ditch the attached Arm Cannon for a Metroid / MegaMan style arm cannon? Also, perhaps you could incorporate the Mace if you wanted to go towards a more medieval armored style.

Prime looked cool because he looked real while keeping the iconic appearance intact. Your Megatron just looks like some dude in Megatron armor.

Such is the dilemma with this guy.

I considered an arm cannon MegaMan style but I thought that took away too much of his Megatron-ness. The other logical way to go would be like an Aliens-style cannon, the way TF Classics Megatron holds his cannon, from underneath the arm. I don't know. I'll work on it when I get a few.

Thanks!

This is quite possibly my favorite fanart ever.

How about like a Mini-Gun or Chain-Gun? Ya know, those really heavy machine guns? There was a cheat code in GTA Vice City where you could get one. Lemme see if I can find a pic for ya if someone doesn't beat me to it.

That's basically the idea. Like in Predator, when they cut down the forest with gunfire.

My suggestion: Make the helmet more "full". Yes, the buckethead is goofyish...but it can work on a human head.

Or you could just do what Limacron did in that one art thread of a Megatron girl, and just make a full head of hair in a "bucket" shape.

But that'd be sillier, considering the context.
