I think they can manage black and purple jet that just kinda stands there and follows orders blindly.

this is what i found interesting on bigbot.com

N.B. Sadly this image was not produced in-house at Cartoon Network and doesn't really do justice to Derrick Wyatt's designs.

it's not even drawn by the guy who's doing the show. isnt it possible that this image was just some sort of artistic take one one of his designs? i mean cmon. it's JUST ONE PICTURE! we dont know if this is what prime indeed will look like on the show or, again, just an artistic take on his design from the show.

even then, it's just this cartoon. not like it's the last one we'll see. you dont like it, just take a breather from TFs for this cartoon and come back when the next one hits. i wouldnt mind doing that myself. i have other hobbies after all.

Well at BigBot.com they have put up an animated toy check list. Only things on it are Prime and Megs. Says there is a spring 2008 release date for them. Anyways I find that Bigbot's check lists are a great place to keep up with new info on the toys.

I wonder how they figured that out. :tflaugh

:rofl

HARDY HAR HAR :tftongue Left myself open for that one.

The Point was that their checklists are usually a good place to keep up with what characters are coming out and they usually have pics of the toys up pretty quick. Even quicker than these boards at times. It's just a tool to keep watch for us collectors out there is all.

:wtf Atmo as the voice of reason?

I dig it. :thumb

I think "it's only one picture" is just something disappointed people say. It may not be as cool as the actual animation, but I'm sure it's not like way off or anything, either.

BTW just to mention it: if you have no ability to appreciate children's entertainment as children's entertainment, then you are probably not going to have anything useful to contribute to this thread. I think it's great for a children's show. I wouldn't expect the same kind of design in a more "adult" version of Transformers (like, say, the movie), but that's not what this is.

The fact is, kids today are not into the same kinds of things you were into as kids. So like I said, there's really no point in spewing fanbile all over this unless you are willing to accept the following truth:

It's not for you.

Okay, that works. :thumb Something different is always appreciated. Nice to see Habro taking Transformers into a completely different direction & not just relying on bad over sea dubs for a change. Voice casting is pretty solid so who really knows this could be a lot of fun.

As for the fandom. Glad to see some can appreciate a change/alteration this extreme but as for the rest it's motivation enough just to drop off the enternet web fanboards for the next year or however long. If this thread is any indication it'll be another long two years A/E/C/movie hate vs those who no longer live in the 80s & expect everything to be as it once was. The kids today are definitely a lot different than most of us were at this age. I still plan on checking this out but I think i'm done with the whole collecting craze. Movie figs was an awsome finish. Goes back to collecting vintage MASK toys.

*ahem*

It's not for me.

Now can I say it's Crap?

How about just saying you don't like it and leaving it at that? If you wanted to add reasons (ie. in your opinion the cartoony look doesn't suit giant robots, you prefer CGI toons, etc) I don't think anyone would take offense.

But it is, after all, just one picture. The rest may be in a similar style but they did say new characters as well, so those could be very different from stuff we already know.

Not that I really feel like arguing the artistic merits of a cartoon aimed at 6 year-olds or anything.

You know it could be good. I think the style of him is kind of growing on me. You know as much as we hate the TFs that need to have parts come off to tf them if they do that then they can most definitely pull of the style in the figures and still tf them. Then again they may be able to pull it off with out build a tf transforms. We'll just have to wait and see.
