Leader Class Brawl & More Ult. BB

Recommended Posts

i made a topic about these 2 figures. someone posted the details HLJ listed on leader SS. they matched a voyager figure more closely

and no, the missiles in the voyager's "hands" are NOT his fingers. if you look at some pics of him, you can see that he has 3 grey claws on both launchers. those are intended to be his fingers. also look at his CGI image. he's got humanoid hands and much much shorter arms than the voyager

I never said they were his hands. I said they were his fingers. (Which they are. Anyone who owns the toy can look closer than the pictures show and see that they are indeed finger digits.) Not poseable, of course, but fingers.

This is just another issue of not translating to plastic correctly. He has hands in the film, yes, but these are his fingers.

And I don't know about you, but I've never seen missiles with finger digits before, and before you say "well this is an alien robot" that's true and all, but he's taken on the form of an Earth vehicle, which happens to use manmade missiles. Not finger shaped ones.

If I had the skills to add joints to them, you could see exactly what I mean.

And where do you get that "general Consensus" from, Buddykiller? the only things I read were over at Seibertron.com, and all the posts there seem to indicate them looking forward to it, and it being confirmed. I have not heard anything even suggesting that this is a screw-up on HLJ's part.

well, i can't speak for any of the other forums as i don't post there, but it seems like most ppl here are believing else-wise.

Who are these "most people here", you refer to? I haven't seen any thread about the Leader class Starscream anywhere on this site, and only a few people in this thread have even mentioned it, and the first one that did, posted the link to Seibertron.com, which, while I don't post there either, I do read the responses to the news articles posted. I still see no "general consensus". All of the evidence I have seen suggests that a Leader-class Starscream is coming out in Japan and has been confirmed by HLJ. So, once again, where is this 'general consensus to the contrary. The only consensus I see is between you and ActionBastard.

I'll believe anything that goes against a leader class Starscream.

it's been mentioned in quite a few of the movie fig posts

None that I have read. Do you have any actual quotes or links? Everything I have read says that it has been confirmed that a Leader class Starscream will be available in Japan. Regardless, I think we are getting a bit side-tracked here. We're supposed to be talking about the Leader class Brawl coming out.

"Ultimum Prime" took a close look at the HLJ description - the price and dimensions for the box size of the "MD-08 leader Starscream" are the same as a Voyager.

Takara never confirmed anything, it's only HLJ with their messed up listings once again.

Dimensions are clearly for a Voyager figure.

Trench, that price listing alone places it in the Leader class catagory. Voyager class figures run about $20 US, not $35. Leader class figures run the $35-$40 range. And an 11" Length/robot height is about right for a Leader class figure as well, not a Voyager class figure. That all points to a Leader class Starscream figure being accurate.

Japanese prices are higher. The actual prices are 2200 Yen (~$18) for deluxes and 3500 Yen ($28)for the voyagers. In Japan leader class figures are 6500 Yen ($54).

Also, those are the dimentions for the box, not the robot. The voyager boxes are about 8" high and 11" wide.

That depends upon the dimensions of the robot itself though. The boxes are not always one size fits all. Secondly, $28 US is a far cry from $35 US. It is still more on par with a Leader class figure. Until we hear back from either Takara or HLJ that they made a mistake, we have to conclude that they are accurate and that Takara is making a Leader class movie Starscream. I am much more likely to take the word of an official source on this matter.
