Am I the only one who wishes that the Ultimate BB design team would have spent more time on the detail and transformation rather than the animatronics? While this BB does look pretty cool, I can't help but imagine what this fig could have been like as a better than MP quality figure. No matter how hard I try, I can't shake that Robosapien impression he gives me. Due to the animatronics and the electronics, the figure is bulkier and larger than it needs to be. IMO, there is no reason that any incarnation of Bumblebee, ultimate or not, should be the largest TF in anyone's collection. While I understand that it is nearly impossible to make a figure with movie accurate detail or transformation scheme, the money would have been better spent trying to achieve these means. I was thinking more along the lines of a figure with lots of moving spring loaded sliding mechanisms, micro hinged folding body panels, good articulation, and a spot on paint job. Also, I was hoping to see at least one BB fig with a functioning sliding face shield mechanism.

I dunno. After seeing him in the trailer (where he's being captured) he looks pretty bulky to me.

I agree that there's a Robosapien vibe, but I don't find him to be physically changed all that much.

Leader class Brawl was a great idea. Like a few people have already mentioned, he's more to scale. Plus, he's going to have more detail, complex transformation, and great articulation (note the individual fingers). I'm having difficulty seeing the cons of "Big Brawl". If they keep that totally lame paint scheme on Megatron, I'll probably be picking up Brawl instead. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for a leader Starscream. That must happen Hasbro. Ya listening out there?

And regarding Ultimate Bumblebee. He's really cool, but it may be tricky to cough up the $90. He looks worth it, but $90 is $90.

the general consensus is that it is an hlj screw up and/or speculation based on hlj prices.

And where do you get that "general Consensus" from, Buddykiller? the only things I read were over at Seibertron.com, and all the posts there seem to indicate them looking forward to it, and it being confirmed. I have not heard anything even suggesting that this is a screw-up on HLJ's part.

i made a topic about these 2 figures. someone posted the details HLJ listed on leader SS. they matched a voyager figure more closely

and no, the missiles in the voyager's "hands" are NOT his fingers. if you look at some pics of him, you can see that he has 3 grey claws on both launchers. those are intended to be his fingers. also look at his CGI image. he's got humanoid hands and much much shorter arms than the voyager

Meh to Ultimate Bumblebee. Saved $90! Thanks!!

I wish I could share your optimism....I recall a figure called Supreme Starscream....so yeah - meh to LC Brawl, based on that photo. Deluxe Brawl is kickass enough. My opinion may change once seeing this in person, but that seems doubtful - he looks to have less or equal articulation to the deluxe version.
