Nicely done! I like hm a bit chibi actually, I think that works.

Its also nice to see people thinking out side the box a little.

 

My only suggestion though is taht the labels as they are now are a bit busy. Also hes clearly not a porsche. despite the labels.

Maybe an updated color/Label scheme rather than a straight G1 would suit him better.

 

But over all - Nice Job!

not a bad idea really . but honetly, the bumblebee/cliffjumper mold gives him a bit of a pudgy look - especially with the grimy head which looking a little big on it. Who knows , I think it could work on the actual figure rather than the digibash. maybe you can wittle yourself a little mouth too. It will look interesting, though. Kinda like Jazz's little brother. If you really wanna get ballsy , try doing it with Hotrod. He's more proportionate and has less of a pudgy look. U could probably also mod his head with some putty - won't take much - just little ears and a visor. Good job ,nonetheless

I think it's a very cool and intersting idea. Also great that you're willing to look outside the box and not going for the cliche use of the C Crosswise/Smokescreen mold.

 

Having said that, this *is* a departure what Classics is all about and the figure is not immediately recognisable as Jazz. The first thought for a white Bumblebee repaint is Searchlight or Bugbite. Nevertheless, knowing that it's meant to represent Jazz in combination with the decals, really does make it look like Jazz. I now look at it, and see Jazz.

 

The use of the Grimlock head is also a nice idea.

I agree that it doesn't have to be made using Cybertron Smokescreen/Crosswise to be Jazz. I myself will be using a Cybertron Downshift body for my Classics Jazz. I'm giving him a pimpmobile style like in Devil's Due TFvsGIJoe 2 when Jazz was a Caddy. Though I will be using the Cybertron Crosswise mold for Prowl and Bluestreak.

 

Jazz-bee is a neat bash idea. The only thing that I think doesn't look right is the Porshe wording. Being that it isn't one, it's a little confusing to see the words there.

 

On a side note, I can't help but get a Herbie the love bug vibe everytime I look at the ALT mode digibash you did. Though Jazz was a love bot too, so it fits.

cybertron ss i find a little poor myself in general to be honest this make over i think suit him more really as a homage and original idea.

Has any one done Downshift yet? That's the bot for this mold.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the project come through.

 

I was thinking with Bumblebee's size (and the vehicle mode pic), Jazz could be considered a Porsche "Coup". (I think that's the name for the style, I don't know much about cars which is weird considering the hobby. :redface )

 

Although, I wish the Repolabel folks would do an updated one for G1 Jazz similar to what they released for Alt. Meister. (Using this for reference: http://shop3.porsche.com/usa/ ) It would look a little bit better with "Racing" instead of "Porsche"
