Have Toy Safty Advocates gone to far?

Recommended Posts

You cant reason, or change the minds of these parent groups. They believe they are fighting a just cause, protecting kids from everything. I strongly dissagree with theyre methods, and theyre reasons for trying to ban these products are quite silly. But in america, its theyre right too speak theyre mind, and try to change things. Comparing them to nazi's makes you just as extreme as them.

Ok I've seen the light and realized that there is no sense in Hasbro bashing. Hasbro has a serious enemy to contend with. A highly anti-american, anti-constitutional, and anti-liberty groups known as the Toy Safty Advocates. And what these people do to put a huge dent in Hasbros creative market will astound you!

It knocked me off my feet when I researched these groups in just one day.

Folks what these people are capable of doing to Hasbro is a clear violation of Hasbro's unalienable rights as human beings working together to simply make toys in this great country called the United States of America.

While there are so many new examples of how we Americans are losing little by little our right's and freedomes in other ways (like the Patriot Acts) now toy companies like Hasbro are being forced into their rights all in the name of toy safty because parents have been taught that it is ok to not be responcible for their kids. Parents are being taught that it is ok for the govenerment to raise their kids for them.

Guess what there was a country once upon time that thought the same thing back in 1932. That country was Germany and the name of the political movement was the National Socialist Party also known as the Nazi party.

I invite all who have something to say about the issue of toy safty laws and about those who make them. I invite Hasbro especially to share any personal experiances with these sue happy groups who drive Hasbro's creativity down while it drives their overhead up to protect them selves from these groups.

Any feelings on this? What do you think?

You need to know that if there is something your not happy about in anything Hasbro or Transformer related it most likly might be due to the limitations set by the:

Toy Safty Advocates Groups

I think you are the most over dramatic person in the world.

It's toys we're talking about here. Are you seriously comparing Nazi germany to child saftety laws? Do you know how utterly ridiculous it sounds? :roll

You act like Hasbro's a poor starving kid on the street who was pissed on by society and beat up by his parents.

Hasbro is a company. Hasbro makes money. Hasbro is happy.

Pretty simple ain't it?

So why are parents not supervising there kids? What has changed?

Many many many things have changed. Women working more, parents using video games and television to baby sit theyre kids. We could talk about it for hours, but I dont want too.

So true dude, I don’t think we need to resort to name calling. If you have a point of view that you want other people to be aware of just say, but leave out the name calling it’s so much more effective. :thumb

One persons right should not infringe on the rights of another.

Hasbro and creative companies like it have not infringed on the rights of these so called safty groups.

However they don't have a problem trying to limit the rights of Hasbro or another toy company.

I believe they have right to voice their opinion, protest, organize and such but when it disrupts anothers rights by creating laws to limit some one (toy makers don't commit murder they make toys) unless if the group company and or persons are limiting rights of others, then I find it disturbing.

Kids can't raise themselves! Parents need to take responcibility for their actions and for their kids. It is simple, if you don't want your kid playing with a particular toy then don't buy it for him or her. Or if you find it possibly dangerous or too much resposibility to the kid to play with either teach your kid how to be safe with the toy and actually play with your kid (this is the best option) or take the toy back (weakest option but easiest)!

Don't go out and demand laws for something you are too lazy to do. This is not right. You have the right to raise your kid how ever you so choose. The toy and Video game makers have the right to be creative and make their products as they choose.

I am pationate about this cos I find it disturbing that some one is actually considering a law that could imprison some one for selling a video game parents deam unfit to a kid under 18. This is really happening here!

I know my comparisons are very intense and I appologize if I had offended anybody by may more extream comparisons that I have put the Toy Safty Advocates in. So I will not use the term again (nazi name calling)!

How ever please understand that while it's great to have groups watching out for our kids, I've been reading alot about where they have gone too far.

It makes me sad to think that parents will not raise their own kids instead of lobbying for laws to do it for them.
