so i think the lamest, most worthless, would be armada laserbeak.

Mini-bots Tailgate, Swerve, Pipes, Outback and Hubcap. Yeah, that covers it. And post movie Grimlock. Who ever told him he was a comedian lied to him.

Cartoon Grimlock sucked period, but especially post-movie.

 

What's wrong with those Mini-Bots? They were cool toys! No less cooler than any of the previous years' Mini Bots.

Dude... did Armada Laserbeak even do anything? All I remember was that flamboyant video camera turning into a bird that should be maimed and destroyed. The humans used him. THE HUMANS. That pretty much makes him the worst thing ever. He's like the Wheelie of Armada, but can't talk, and doesn't have Grimlock to chill with.

Armada Laserbeak is still cooler than Wheelie though, and here's why:

 

1/ Armada Laserbeak can't talk - this beats Wheelie talking in that annoying voice in poorly strung rhymes. As they say, silence is golden. ;)

2/ Despite the awful colours, Armada Laserbeak clearly transforms into a video camcorder. Wtf does Wheelie transform into? Some kind of... car... thing... maybe.

3/ Laserbeak's presence did contribute to the story - i.e.: reconnaissance. Wheelie on the other contributes nothing worthwhile to the story.

4/ Laserbeak may have been partnered up with some human kids, but together those kids were way smarter than the retard Grimlock that Wheelie was friends with -- not to mention that Wheelie more often hung out with Daniel.

Cartoon wise, they did nothing except get steppedon by Trypticon. Toy wise, they are the same as the other minibots. Outback at least came with a gun. Post movie Grimlock still sucked.

Yeah, but how many times was Laserbeak important enough to be used?

 

"Hey, why can't we come along with you guys to the moon?"

 

Prime: "Here, we'll use the... bird freak thing so you can watch."

 

Plus, I don't remember any episodes in which he was used for reconnaissance. He did record some stuff, but he was less effective than the Human's Mincons. Plus, you couldn't give him the old, "HE CAN STAY AND GUARD THE BASE!" routine, because, well, let's face it: Laserbeak sucks ass. Slightly less than Wheelie, who pretty much contributed nothing.

 

I mean, I hate Wheelie as much as the next guy, but Laserbeak was used when the writers were down to nothing. Plus, he probably did have a voice in the Japanese version, 'cause all dumb characters do.

 

But Wheelie was too, I guess. They were like,

 

1: "Hm... Hot Rod and Kup are trapped, and we've got the most mentally-challenged Transformers looking for them."

 

2: "So... let's make another stupid Transformer help them!"

 

1: "DUDE! YES!"

 

2: "And... let's make him rhyme!"

 

1: "...What?"

 

2: "Uh, kids like rhyming. I saw it on GI: Joe."

Laserbeak's gun mode was used by one of the kids stun Megatron so he dropped them.

see... that instantly makes him 100 times more useful than Wheelie. ;p
