Look, you g1 haters probably haven't actually ever played with G1 toys properly. You complain about them being bricks but you obviously have NO imagination. Toys used to be things used to help your imagination get going, like if you played with G1 Prime, it didn't matter about his legs not moving or his weird proportions, he was still the action hero you saw on tv because as soon as a good game got going then it was just like the show. You didn't need 7000 Points of articulation to see a living breathing character in front of you. These days everything is done for you with all the lights and sounds and imagination takes a backseat. Sure, I really love my new tfs but I love my G1s just as much. if it wasn't for G1 you wouldn't have a Prime to whine about every season or a new toy to love because it is a homage.Guess what? None of the characters you respect todaywould be here without the G1 toys. If you don't like the toys you should still respect them . Dissing G1 is like calling your Grandpa crap for not being as flexible as you are. I respect BW for bringing life back into the line and adding new levels of detail, even though by and large the toys sucked ass.

"to each their own" is too passive an argument for me, starting off.

And besides that, I'm 22. Of course I had G1 toys. My point is that I'm sick of everyone hating anything new because they are unwilling to accept change. They hate it because its new and because its not Generation 1. When I look back at generation 1, I see a pet project by Hasbro that worked for a few years then died like every other franchise...it wasn't spectacular or even interesting to a certain degree...But the new shows are. I also want to point out that the character designs that I respect today weren't touched by anyone in the 80's, and the only influence I see comes from DIACLONE molds, not Transformers molds...Transformers were just repaints to begin with.

When you're on here as much as I am, you just get damn sick of everyone trashing on everything you like based entirely on their ill-developed opinions. I'm sick of ignorance, illinformity, antagonist, and nostalgic opinions and points of views. Its "learn to change and accept, or be changed."

First off, there are transformers I like from across all the lines. I have G1, BW, RiD, Armada, Energon, and Alternator toys. That said, my collection is 75% G1, and I happen to like it that way. It is only a personal preference. For me, as a kid in 1984, I remember the hype when the first TFs came out. It was a revolutionary toy, an instant classic. Nostalgia? You bet. And what is wrong with that? Bodycount, I'm sorry, but your posts are getting TIRED, not G1. Give it a rest. You look dumber and dumber the more you post.

"to each their own" is too passive an argument for me, starting off.

Dude, I think "eat sh*t and die" is too passive an argument for you.

I was only alive near the end of G1 so my childhood was G2 based so I have no nostalgia to the toys really. I love the new toys and wouldn't like to go back to G1 toys but i like having G1's. They feel nice in my hand which I can't explain, I just like holding em for some reason. BW always felt so fragile to me even though I never broke one. There are some BW molds which I love but most never appealed to me. G1 is so rewarding when you find one for cheap because it feels like treasure to me. I prefer getting them loose because then the toys have more character and I never liked boxes anyway. I hate people who thing everything post G1 is crap because they are wrong.

Hasbro is going in the right direction, I love the homages because I can have the old version of a char and the new more poseable version. I love poseability and hate it when toysdon't have leg articulation. I can forgive G1 for that because the primary feature of the toys was to transform.

I wish everyone could just appreciate both sides and not whine about either.

You are such a hypocrite. How about stop being an antagonist yourself before lecturing others on it?

Im 32 and I had G1 toys as well, but im not here to criticize or argue about which generation is better. I love G1 and i like what i see in stores now; well most of it.

Wheter Like it or not, G1 is the very heart of trans formers collecting. Not Diaclone, Not Armada or Energon and not G2. It was G1 who came first as Transformers, it was G1 who had the longer run in toys, comics, cartoons, even a movie. It is a G1 transformers movie, not an armada or energon movie, being planned now.

My point exactly?

Thers no way you can call your self a real Transfan if youre bashing the very core of your hobby, G1. Think of it. No G1 , no g2, or BW armada etc. because all present toys will always be compared or influenced by G1 because G1 was the one who started it all.

Lets just enjoy our hobby regardless of preferences. :tflaugh1

Which is the best? theres no best, because all are one; just Transformers.

Although some are uglier than others indeed.

It's really silly that we should even need to have this discussion in the first place. I don't understand why some people feel the need not just to express their opinions, but to shout down any dissenting views. I mean, geez -- who cares that much anyway? It's not like we're talking about the fate of the world here. We're just trying to have some fun and discuss a hobby that we all love. Lighten up.

:pfx

and to think it all started by showing some pics of 2 g2 toys.

If nothing else, it proves that G2 divides the fandom!! :tflaugh
