One screwed up transformer

Hello fellas...

While doing my regular web-searching today I went to Bwtf.com and found some pics of some g2 toys, boy.

Wheelie looks as a masterpiece compared to, to this....monstrosity.

So, next time you want to criticize any of today's toys, please keep in mind these pics and always remember, it could be worse.

Yeah, those guys were pretty sad, makes the original G1 minibots and Micromasters look poseable ;)

Oh, come on. Don't tell me you like all G1 toys, some of them are ugly too(like mentioned here Wheelie). As to those to, it's just the style of G2 Powemasters. I like meanstreake for his alt mode.

I'm a G2 fan and I think that even while having such bots, the Generation 2 series had one of the best toylines

Well, I started collecting when G1 came out and although not perfect G1 had a lot of great toys and some others were not that good indeed.

G2 had it's great moments as well, but since G2 started to bring more articulated toys, these 2 are a contradicition to all the good stuff G1-G2 had for us.

I do agree that the alternate mode of meanstreak looks fine, but i believe what the author of the review said, they had the chance to make a great toy and they failed big time.

Besides G2 consisted mostly on G1 toys been recolored-retooled. IMHO G1 had more originality in that.

Generation 2 Transformers were the most ass-ugly, over-the-top, obnoxious figures ever released by Hasbro. I frickin' love 'em. :tfgrin

(And besides, G2 gave us the mold that was used for RiD Scourge.)

Gen 2 was one of the true low points in the transformers toy line…..the color chooses being the most embarrassing part of the whole line. :tfpuke

Hah hahahhahahahahahahahah!!!!! :rofl

I guess it all depends on how seriously you take Transformers. G2 was campy, but it knew it was campy. Let's face it, the entire Transformers premise is campy, and it was so refreshing to see Hasbro say, "oh, what the hell" and just have fun with them. Stuff that probably makes other TFans cringe -- Hero Megatron's "MEGATRON RULES!" sticker, the day-glo Bruticus, Hasbro's insistence upon putting huge "OPTIMUS PRIME" stickers all over every version of G2 Prime -- just makes me laugh. It's cheesy as hell, but the sheer over-the-top silliness of it all just really appeals to me.

And I would actually go on record as saying that with the exception of Supercon Optimus Prime, G2 was a lot cooler than Armada.

Not that my sig & avatar aren't dead giveaways as to where my affections lie... :tfgrin

well, as ben said in the sideswipe review, habsor was warming up to making transformers with modern safety laws, think of it as, having your wisdom teeth fall out
