It just didn't do anything story-wise. Especially in light of how rushed "Other Victories" and "Nemesis" were. (That was why I mentioned it in the first place.)

thats true. but at least it wasnt out right retarded like go with the flow.

You know, I just looked up the BW episode list, and reading the synopses really made me think that the show jumped the shark early on in Season 3. The story progression in Season 2 was intense, with not a wasted moment. Once they got to Season 3, it was like everything just fell apart. There are plenty of great moments in it, but overall it's just really spotty.

Exactly. BW Didn't need a better sequel, just a better third season. Half the episodes were pointless and unwatchable, and are my least-watched TF DVD's by far. The jump in quality between the end of S2 and the beginning of S3 is immediately noticable, and to this day leave me wondering what happened. Of course, it was still lightyears ahead of anything in A/E/C.

I really just wish they did a better job of making the DVD's match up. The G1 DVD's fit together perfectly, but the BW/BM series are all totally different. I'm a stickler for packaging when it comes to stuff like that.

Well it's not like the shows themselves matched up. The packaging just reflects that difference IMO.

I do think Rhino did a fantastic job with the BM set though. I was really happy with that (despite the spoileriffic image from the LAST EPISODE they stuck on the inside of the DVD set :tflaugh).

Are you people intentionally forgetting why the second half of the third season was rushed? When you put it in context, you can hardly blame the writers for what they did... I'd like to see anyone else do a better job under that situation. (-_-)

Understanding why it was rushed doesn't make it any less so, though.

My main issue with BM is that most of the toys were ugly and looked like Animorphs. As far as the show, I didn't like the Censored Fox kids battle scenes or the fact that most of the bad guys were unimportant drones. I like the story for the most part and I definitely love the Final episode. That was some beautiful action. You cant get that from some real movies. OP OP and Dragon Bot's final battle sucked (cause it wasn't a battle)

If BM was a one shot it would have been good. But as a sequel it stinks. It took the characters and made several pointless changes, like Megatron's hatred of organic, when in BW he always got off on being a beast. Or Silverbolt going from a knight to poor copy of Dinobot, Scott McNeill said that btw. Optimus became a pointless guru, Rattrap a whiner. Nightscream was an awful character. Botanica did nothing. Rhinox's personality shift was ridiculous. All issues with continuity. While the series could have been like Galaxy Force and good, it was like Cybertron and bad.

It says so much about the series when the most compelling character is a freaky werewolf that can't talk.

Beast Machines is only technically good, the rest of it is pure crap.
