Your First Transformer

Recommended Posts

I can't FOR SURE say which TF was my first.  I believe it was Smokescreen though.  I remember I had him, broke him, then got another one from my aunt on my bday.  My mom made me exchange it though because I already had it.  Despite my insistance that I wanted him because my other one was broken...we went to exchange it at my local Canadian Tire.  Well, they had NO selection at all.  I remember they would have the occasional minibot but I would never see a bluestreak, Jazz or Optimus Prime.  I don't think I ever saw 90% of G1 TFs in the store.  Long story short, I think I exhanged him for a Carebear toy (WTF?) and a gobot(WTF?).

I stll remember that vividly and that would've been 21 years ago now.

I was never a "collector" until about 97 as I finally stopped saying to myself Optimus is a munkky?  F that! and actually watched an episode of BW.  I stopped playing with them as a kid when I was prob 10 yrs old.

My first was either Bonecrusher, Hook, or Beachcomber but that was in 85 so its hard to remember who came first.

I had a similar x-mas story involving Gnaw but I got caught in mine

I believe my first TF was a red Bumblebee.  I was heavy into TFs for a year, then swapped to GI Joe and the TFs were all boxed up.  Luckily, I found about half of them and am looking soon in my folks' attic for the rest!

I got back into colelcting mainstream TFs with the RiD series.  Haven't regretted it a bit since. :)

You know, I can't remember a time when I wasn't a Transformers collector.  Durring RID I seriously slowed down, only got a few cheap figures, but with Armada I picked right back up and continually find Hasbro with their hands in my wallet.

No clue what my very first Transformer was.  It's been lost to time.

My first TF was... Astrotrain, I believe.  Good old memories.  He's kinda bashed up right now, though, but still in one piece, although I've lost his gun years ago...

I loved TFs back in the days of G1, but due to lack of "exposure" to TFs during G2, my interest faded...  BW came around, and I was never a big fan of beast-formers, so I skipped on that too... the lack of cable TV shielded me from RiD and Armada, and I only got back into TFs with SuperLink and now Galaxy Force...

My collection started with Huffer and a blue Decepticon sports car mini-spy. I stopped collecting when G1 ended, started again with G2 though my collecting fizzled a few months ahead of G2's fizzle and took me over half a year into BW to start collecting them, but  since then it's been continuous.

I stopped playing with them as a kid when I was prob 10 yrs old.

I still play with my toys, although being an adult means I have far less time to do so as often as I'd like...

My first Trans was Jazz back in 84, I  would say that I immediately started collecting, I loved the toys and the tv show. I stopped for a while when Generation 2 was the main toy line and I restarted with RID. Now I have no plans in stopping again, it's like a drug I have to buy more, more and more. :tfgrin

ive all ways liked transformers i was 1 of the ass end of g1 kids

i didnt have any g2 toys but i do still have overlord from kidie days

now beast wars.... as a older kid i didnt bother cos of 1 lil thing i didnt realise it was transformers yeh.... big duh 2 me! but beast machines filled me in and then the penny droped

and it was armada starscream/thundercracker that got me in 2 hardcore collecting of transformers again but this time im buying my toys

My first one was Bumblebee or Cliffjumper on a very far past, I believe in 86 when Transformers debuted on brazilian television. A famous toy factory released Bumble, Cliff, Brown, Windcharger, Gears and White Carrera that year. I had plenty of others transformers called Converts, interesting toys not known outside Brazil.

Unfortunally, my little cousin drop them all thru the window and I lost everything, about 40 transformers. I grew up as a frustrated guy, but last year I moved to USA and start again collecting, this time, Binaltech and Alternators. Now I can smile again  :tftongue
